So many are wasting so much of their time writing threads about
things that won't make a shread of difference next year. We
sit here and talk about how much time players 10-15 should get on
the floor next year.
"MoT got 18 mpg last year, while Lee got 16. MoT shouldn't get more than 10."
Agreed! But it doesn't make a damn difference!
Playoff teams are playoff teams because of their starting 5 + maybe 2-3 guys off
the bench make a difference. The rest are just filler.

Until somebody shows me what a successful starting five + next guard and next fwd
off the bench will be, I don't want to hear about 3rd strings!!!
Tell me who are going to be the 30+mpg players! These are the guys that
are going to make the difference over the course of the season. The others might
win a game here or lose a game there, but nothing significant.

Unfortunately, what I see as the most likely scenario, is not one that I am satisfied
with:

Marbs
Francis
Q
Frye
Curry

Regrettably, that starting squad is not a playoff team.
Biggest X-factor: Q. He will affect how good this team can be.
If he can come back and shoot like he can he has the potential
to make the biggest difference. The rest I pretty much think
we know what we're going to get from them.

primary subs: JC (G), Lee(? one prays) (F/C), Jalen Rose (G/F).

JC is going to be another big factor. He has to come in
and make a big difference. At this point he may be the best
shooter we have, and better show up off the bench like he did
starting for us at the end of last year.

Personally, I think Jalen would be more effective starting for
us offensively than Q at the 3, but I don't think it will happen.
Plus he's a defensive liability. Even for this squad.

Also, I'd rather see JC start in place of Francis, but I
don't think that is going to happen either.

Curse that trade for Francis!!!

Playoff teams are playoff teams because their coach picks a rotation and sticks with it, for the most part. Then once the coach picks a rotation, he tries to win games.

Knicks didn't have that going for them last year.

I think Zeke will go with ten guys for the most part:

Marbury, Crawford
Francis, Robinson
QRich, Balkman
Frye, Lee
Curry, Butler

And to think, half the teams in the league every year lack this knowledge, and you give it out for free.

There are plenty of teams that have set rotations that suck.
