What about if Foye had Francis' salary and years remaining? Still do it?

I'd trade Marbury & Francis for any combination of expiring contract(s), draft picks, young talent or veterans who can buy into a team concept at this point... i just want both of them gone & for this franchise to move forward with new leadership... i think guys like Jamal, Frye & David Lee could emerge as leaders on this team if those 2 were dealt away.

Foye.. for Marbury .. Foye for Francis. I'd trade either for a bag of balls based on last years bitching and moaning, and lack of production. Hopefully the new environment proves me wrong.

Doesn't matter. Just on the youth factor alone, you make the deal.

dude, i've been patient for the past 3 years & so far Marbury's only shown me that he's not the guy i want to build this team around... it's about time you woke up & smelled the coffee... Marbury's not leading this team to anything other than a mediocre record & a 1st round exit out of the playoffs at best... isn't it about time you set your goals just a little bit higher for this franchise?... in order to have a longrange goal, you need a longrange plan... Marbury & Francis have clearly shown that they are not players that fit into a longrange plan for this franchise if the ultimate goal is to win a championship.

Yes, I would trade either one for Foye right now.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

I agree 100% TMS, absolutely. I can understand why people want to give Marbury the benefit of the doubt because they are blinded by that sparking 20 and 8. Not with me though, he's had his chance to change my opinion of him the last 3 years and he hasn't done it because I've seen nothing different about his play in New York than when he was across the river or in Phoenix. Neither Marbury or Francis will ever be part of a championship team in the NBA becuase neither is interested in what is best for the team, as evident of both their actions throughout the years.

The only thing Marbury has proved to me in his 3 years here is that he's the same primadona he was elsewhere.

The Nets series where we were embarassed and Marbury never showed up despite having a great regular season only to be abused by Kidd was the telling sign of where this team stands until 2009
