When is he expected to return to the line-up? Also, what do you guys believe his role will be?

I personally think it'd be great if we could deal spree to portland for dale davis and qyntel woods.

or spree and eisley for pippen (cash drop, as pippen's huge contract ends after this season).

I personally believe he is worth more than that. I wonder what the GMs around the league think of him.

I was thinking of maybe spree for stromile swift and lorenzen wright - only because stro wont get time, wright has been on the bench to start the season, and they are the only team that really could use a 2 guard with leadership

Actually, I don't believe Memphis would do that. Mainly because Sprewell would not be the best role model for their young players. Spree has to go to a "semi" contending team. Also, Memphis has Battier, Giricek, Person, and Dickerson sharing time at the two.

yup, plus J-West is too savy a GM to pull a trade for an older SG. Also, he knows the old adage: never trade big for small, and especially when it's young for old.
