By the way this guy played solid out there in the summer league I would not be surprised if Miller gets signed. Isiah could probably sign him for half a million. Miller is a backup center/forward that can shoot from the outside and can drive to the hole.

For all of his short commings, he actually fills a void. He can stroke it from the outside. And in this offense, he could play a role similar to Doleac.

His shot is simliar to Doleac, however the difference is Miller is a guy that can run the break and is a good cutter to the basket. Doleac was also a tough defender that did not back down from anyone.

Whose minutes do you think he'll get? He'll be the fifteenth guy on the team = IR.
Not much to get excited about. Remember in the old days? When we had 12 guys on the
team, and the last 2 never played?

Nothing to really get excited about like you said, but he could probably work really well with Marbury in the pick and roll and the triangle offense. NOt to mention there are going to be many games that James and Curry get in foul trouble. We will need another big for the main fact that James can't stay on the court more than 2 minutes.

I look at this like, players get injured all the time and our bigs are constantly getting in foul trouble at the begining of games. So we need another real big man. Not a Malik Rose in the paint doing a thousand head fakes trying to post. As far as centers, we only have 2!

Miller is a change-up in the lineup. The polar opposite of JJ and Curry. He spreads the offense even more, opening lanes for penetration.

Also, Butler wasn't going to get much time here either.

Do we even have to sign Miller now? Why not just invite him (and others) to training camp w/ a roster spot open?

Whether they sign Miller or not, Frye could easily step in and play some back up center. It would open up more minutes for Lee at PF.....

That is a good option also.

We have Channing Frye and heck, Mo Taylor who is a better player than Miller (Which doesn't really say much) he's not a shotblocker either. Why waste a good roster spot on someone like that when you can just go after Woods or Ariza who are both much better players. Miller hasn't played as good as some of you think.
