Bonzi Wells may be going home again.
According to draftexpress.com, the Kings and Indiana Pacers are discussing a sign-and-trade that would send the free-agent shooting guard to his home state and bring center Jeff Foster and point guard Sarunas Jasikevicius to Sacramento.

Reached late Monday night, Wells' agent, William Phillips, told The Bee that a sign-and-trade was a definite part of the slow-moving discussions, and that one team had "come up the board" among the six teams he's been negotiating with. Reportedly, the Kings' contract offer was for five years and $36 million, which would be a pay cut from the $8 million Wells earned last season.

But doing the deal involving Foster - a 6-11 center/forward who will make $5.2 million this season - and Jasikevicius - a 6-4 guard who will make $4 million - would certainly give Wells the money he desires while giving the Kings the depth down low they need, not to mention a promising point guard.
Per the terms of the NBA's collective bargaining agreement, the salaries of the players in sign-and-trade deals must be within 25 percent of each other, meaning Wells' salary could range from $6.9 million to $11.5 million.

They really will have a log jam at the three and the two plus they will need Front court players.

I would try to trade for Jax and try to dump JJ. Maybe a trade like Butler & JJ for Stephen Jackson.... makes sense to me.

If they get bonzi then jax will be gone I think that's a given. Everyone was blaming jax at the end of the year for their season. Jax said himself that it seems like the organization and the players have up on him.

I'd take jax before Al Harrington. I would not trade anybody other than trash though cuz I hate Indiana. Jax is a soldier though.

Malik for Jax works

Would they do that? Malik is a role player inside that they don't have but malik for jax?

Taylor for jax? Does that work?

Why are we talking about Stephen Jackson? Dude has 4 more years on his contract and is a head case. I not completely sure, but I don't think he plays much D either.

i'm not crazy about Jax either, i'm just saying Malik for him works under the cap, & if IND wants to unload the last 2 years of Jax's contract, what better trade partner to seek out than the Knicks? if they make this Bonzi for Foster & Jassy trade, then Malik's a player they most certainly could use.

personally, i'm fine w/riding out Jalen's contract while letting him play SF this year & not trading for any more longterm deals unless we get rid of some of our own.

How is Bonzi going to play for the Pacers if he's dead? I thought Artest said he would kill him if he left the Kings?

That would be the best case situation, because for some reason the pacers blame Jax for everything that has gone wrong and jax value is low because of the Piston brawl. So that's why I would hope JJ and Butler could get Jax, because they want to dump him. Butler and JJ contrats equal what Jax is making and would fill the front court.

Mrose for Jax could be fine as well, helps the fornt court and cuts two years off of Jax's contract.

Worst case would be Jax for one of our expirings, because that would add 3 years of contract for a player Indy doesn't want and is hard pressed to move.

There are very few trade possibilites for Jerome James because he is so terrible and overpaid given his production. I would like to see isiah try to do a jerome james for brian cardinal deal -they both run the same length, but cardinals a good defender/hustler that plays the 3, good character guy it doesn't hurt to have. neither will get any playing time probably, but we have a bigger hole at the 3 right now anyway, and we don't take on any more salary.

Have you seen Cardinals production????? It's worst then JJ's. JJ is still seven feet tall, so that is always the hope with trying to get rid of him, instaed of cutting him.

BUt My point wasn't about JJ (a player we don't want and is hard to move), it was about Butler for Jaxa (player we don't want and is hard to move) with JJ as contract filler.
