Athletic shotblockers/intimidators are such an important piece to the puzzle for an NBA team. No matter how hard Isiah to going to stress perimeter defense and even with young, talented defenders such Balkman and Collins now on board, we are still gonna get broken down A LOT on the perimeter. I absolutely love what this kid Williams brings to the table. He's exactly what we're lacking in a big man - shotblocking/intimidation. Plus he's young, hustles and is a good, solid rebounder already. His shotblocking and rebounding are NBA ready now - and those are the only things I would ever want from him if he we're with us. Since Sacramento originally invited him to play on their summer league team right after he went undrafted, does that mean we have no chance of signing him? Do the Kings have his rights now? Not sure how the whole SL invite thing works... Anyway, I think he's a much better fit for us as a backup big man over Jackie Butler. He'll probably make Sac's roster (they really don't have a backup for Brad Miller) but man, I'd love this kid as part of our frontcourt. With the money we're talking about spending to keep Jackie Butler, I'd love Zeke to come in an offer this kid a contract out of nowhere instead. Anyone else think we could have a shot at this kid or is he a lock to make Sacramento's roster?
