I just realized this and not sure if it had been discussed (I was away and without internet access for the draft).

How much does it hurt that we gave Houston our 2nd rounder for the useless Spoon for Mo T trade? We pretty mush lost a player similar to the caliber of Mardy Collins. One maybe we could have stashed in overseas for a year or so. Maybe Marcus Vinicius.

Second round picks are meaningless, especially when you can get second round talent in the first round. lol.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

Those 2nd rounders don't count because Isiah gave them up. If he acquired them they would be seen as first round talent by the Kool-Aid drinkers. Some of these Kool-Aid drinkers would probably suggest that they would be just as valuable as the 2 first round picks that we gave Chicago.
If it didn’t work in Phoenix with Nash and Stoutamire... it’s just not a winning formula. It’s an entertaining formula, but not a winning one. - Derek Harper talking about D'Antoni's System

When you consider the fact that Gansey, Washington, Pittsnogle, Williams, Adeleke, Killingsworth etc dropped out of the draft & the fact that we have no roster spots anyway, it means little.

Geez, can we get past the gloom & doom???

I don't think it hurts so much in this case. There are like 35 guys on the roster and it is already young team.
https:// It's not so hard.

i agree

and on the bright side, if we didn't trade Vin Baker and Moochie to the rockets, Brown would have wanted their expiring contracts and the 2nd rounder traded last year for someone like theo ratliff, an overpriced, aging and injury prone player with a longer deal than Mo Taylor's.

I wouldn't have minded getting Bobby Jones on this team.

After the first 5 picks everyone else was basically a second rounder in this years draft. This was one of the weakest drafts to date. I highly doubt any player after the first 5 becomes a superstar much less a good player. This was a role players draft.
