Knicks outrebounded by Detroit 50-33. Obviously, good rebounding makes up a lot for poor shooting percentage.

With 4.5m injury and good chunk of 4.5m exception left, are there any big rebounders/defenders who the Knicks could REALISTICALLY get before trade deadline? And who would we trade for such a precious commodity?

I'm not just talking this season. We need this even if/when McDyess comes back next year.

Yes, but the Knicks can get away with poor rebounding with solid defense.

Detroit go alotta second and third oppurtunities last night, but the
Knicks successfully shut them down (but then collapesed in the 4th.
But thats another story.)

What makes this even worse was that the Pistons were the worst rebounding team last year.

Blazers dont want to give up Patterson + D.Davis until Spree is 100% or Blazer lose out on personnel. So it will probably be a 3-4 weeks before we see anything. Its a pretty even deal but I wouldnt do it or Patterson who is promarily a deensive player. We need offense so id take Derek Anderson. I wanna know what will happen with the exception. There was a rumor going around that it was Spree + exception for Anderson + Patterson + Davis which would make a heck o a lot more sense for both teams. But with Dolans financial responsibility speech I dont think thats possible. Knicks need to move Eisley and Spoons contracts at all costs.

but what i liked about this deal is that spree gets out of houston's way and if we get anderson our sg position will be even worse because spree's better than anderson

I'd have to disagree that we need offense more than defense. I'd rather the Knicks be the worst scoring team in the league with a winning record, than one of the best scoring teams with a losing record. Of course, we're not in danger in seeing either of those scenarios anytime soon.

I don't like D.A.'s game. He disappeared after coming back from his playoff injury a couple seasons ago, then whined about $$$ to get out of S.A., then played mediocre in Portland last season. We don't need more players like that.

Side note: a Portland team with Spree and Wallace, I may have to make them my West team to root for, if that happens. I love the maniac guys who can play (Rodman, Oakley), not the ones who can't (Rider, Leon Smith)
