This is getting a little silly.

There are people on this forum who have different opinions on whether we should have drafted Ranaldo Balkman. Now, everyone is entitled to voice their opinion, and that is the lifeblood of any good forum.

But BRIGGS, we all know that you wanted to draft Marcus Williams. We all know you think Balkman should have been drafted later. Some of us dissagree. Some of us think you may be biased because you are a UConn fan. Some of us wholeheartedly agree with you, and some of us think Isiah has lost the plot here.

But are all these repeat threads every time you can think of another player in the general physical vicinity of Balkman really neccessary? Fine, you wouldnt have drafted Balkman. Fine, you may be right. You may also be wrong. But your constant re-dredging up of different player (who, by the way ALL seem to have been on your mock draft board at 29) is becoming very negative and disheartening.

Last year, we went through the ame thing with Frye over Bynum. Frye is soft. Bynum is the superstar of the future. etc. etc. But last year you let it go, and started to hope Frye would be good for us. Is it possible for you to please do the same thing this time round please?

And if you do think of the next person who will definately be better the Balkman, post him here fo ease of use, so we can all know where to look, insteadof cluttering the board, every time another better player pops into your head.

Many Thanks,

Firefly

It's rookie hazing for the Knicks, UK-style. Channing Frye had to endure the same threads every day for a while until he lit up Bogut for 30pts and won rookie of the month in November. Renaldo will be fine.

don't be too much concerned about that. I joined this board about 4 years ago, and Briggs was the same at that time.

A nice & very knowledgeable fan but sometimes... prone to repeat over and over the same things.

Sometimes he's right (amare), sometimes he's not (hopefully balkman).

I don't think Briggs ever said he would have no impact on a game this season. And I think he will. He might not score 20pts, but we have plenty of guys who can do that.

Balkman is doing some of the stuff Lee did last summer league, and he's a pure SF. Why don't we need a guy like that again?

BRIGGs provides some good analysis when it comes to college players and draft picks, but sometimes when the Knicks don't pick someone he really wanted he seems to become manically depressed about it and his objective analysis goes right out the window.

Dude! you'll have a nervous breakdown if you keep this up! Try just sitting back and try to find some positives- you even admitted that last year you were so miffed about not picking Bynum that you were overly harsh on Frye- you're doing the same thing this year!

LOL, I'll shut up. I certainly do not want Balkman or Collins to fail, it has nothing to do with the guys.Im more concerned with how managmenet handles this team. With two high IQ PGs available in Farmar and Williams, we pick a 2nd rounder. I wouldve been fine with either of the picks--I mean dont they make much more sense--I guess not. Isiah has done some good things, but so can anyone spending 500mm $. But at the end of th day, after 500MILLION spent---this team relys on Curry and Marbury to win.
As long as they make Lee a starter, they will be watchable--I remember watching Bernard King--I wanted him to get the MVP--that was the big thing for those years when Boston and Philly were so dominant.

I value and appreciate your opinion BRIGGS, especially on matters regarding the college scene, but this whole thing was getting out of hand. It was getting a little depressing.

No offense meant.

Those 2 IQ PGs wouldn't have had any playing time, so why bother ?
