I guess at this point it doesn't really matter who's coaching the team. This team is bound for the lottery - which is not a bad place to be.
NY KNICKS 4 EVER! Will we ever find players like Anthony Mason, Xavier McDaniels, Patrick Ewing again? I hope so.

What...thats 2 contract extentions that he has received since he started. I don't understand.

I guess perhaps Dolan didn't thing there were any other coaches out there who would want to coach the Knicks anyway. Maybe Chaney's job IS to dump games, and for that, a pat on the back with a contract extention for one more year of the same.

I dont think this guy is a long term coach and I am sure the brass dont see him that way either. He is a fall guy - they can get rid of him whenever they want, and he isnt expensive. Plus there is a lack of available talent at the coaching position so why not let Chaney suck it up for a little, we dont have any good players to coach at the moment anyway.

I agree. If they wanted Chaney around they would have given him a three or four year deal. I truly believe that if McDyess didn't get hurt he would not have gotten the extension before the year ended. Tell Chaney to get his parachute ready because he is definitely the fall guy!
