From DX, http://draftexpress.com/viewarticle.php?a=1393 .

#4 claims that signing Renaldo and Mardy, who have the same agent as Lebron, may help in signing him in 08.

The agents have no power, Remember the Ewing trade. Falk was suppose to get them Mutombo and could not. Falk was the most powerful agent of the 90's.

Here's our cap situation:

Would need to trade Marb+Francis + more for expirings to even be in position to make him an attractive offer.

Lebron is going to New Jersey to play with Marcus Williams, Richard Jefferson, and Kristic, i bet they move carter in order to free up some cap space next year if he doesn't sign an extension.....

The endorsements will be there in brooklyn once they move, and he gets to play for Jay-Z......

Kidd/Williams
Lebron/Wright
Jefferson
Kristic/Boone
Collins

All that team needs is a couple of shooters and they will be fine, no chance of Lebron ever coming to new york

I think Lebron would rather play with a team that has a good defensive big man and a bunch of shooters, even though the nets look like a nice team. Imagine if the clippers cleared up some room and put lebron on that team with elton brand and livingston.

Lebron will sign his contract extension shortly with the Cavs. They put the offer on the table for roughly 80-85 million so I would be very surprise he turns it down.

we all know if he stays with cleveland it will NOT be for the money, and if you didn't know that, then you better ask somebody.

Don't we have Curry for mor years than 06/07?

If James was smart he would sign with the Knicks or Brooklyn. Even if he had to play for the MKE for one year, what difference does that make to a guy making the endorsements that he does?
Alan Hahn: Nate Robinson has been on a ridonkulous scoring tear lately (remember when he couldn't hit Jerome James with a Big Mac in early January?)

We can come up with cap scenarios galore. We can talk sign and trades till the cows come home. But you guys talking about scenarios to get LeBron James is like me coming up with scenarios to get Jessica Alba to sleep with me. I think my chances are greater than yours though.

My mistake. Curry is signed through the 08 season, with a player option the following year. Would be cool to have LBJ in Brooklyn or 2 penn plaza but I think he will re-sign with the cavs.

My God! Why would you say that?!

Here's what I see coming up! At the end of this next season, we could have as much as 62 million coming off of the books! That would bring us down to 61 million in salaries. Houston is finally coming off at 20 mil. Jalen Rose is coming off at almost 17 mil. Maurice Taylor is coming off at 9 mil. Shandon Anderson is finally getting paid off at 8 mil. and Eddue Curry is coming off at 8 mil. and could be the only guy I see the Knicks re-signing at this point. But that of course is if he has a great season and if not, then I say forget about him and go get us a real center, once and for all. Now, with LeBron coming off his contract at the end of 2007-08, if Zeke can keep from signing some bum to an outrageous contract, before then, we would definately have a shot at him! If I were Zeke, just keep bringing in the young guys and don't sign any huge contracts for now. Frye, Lee and Nate are all signed for the next four seasons to resonable contracts, so we don't have to worry about that. If Zeke can play his cards right, I believe we can make this happen. Chicago is gearing up for this deal also, so we'd be really, really stupid not to give it a shot ourselves. I really like what I'm seeing and I am even more enlightened than I was before. We just have to be ready!
