I think he could help a great deal,6"11 250.Portland did not want to waive him but did not have space for him.

This is kinda unrelated, but the Clippers waived SF Mike Batiste, which is a bit of a shame since he had a decent preseason.

Amal is kind of old (29-30) considering that we would be picking him up as a development player, and not someone who would contribute right away.

Well he isn't a spring chicken but he can play ball, on the knicks he wouldn't be sitting on the bench alot.

I personally think he's already alot better then Pope and he hasn't reached his potential yet. Wouldn't be the first time that a tall player needs time to mature. JJ and Olowakandi took untill last season to proof they were worty players, McCaskill had flashes of good play but was buried on the Spurs bench who aren't as height deprived as the NYK.

I`ve could see play Amal two years in the spanish acb league and he had some talent and a good body for basket but he wasn´t any competitive, without discipline and he had problems with cannabis. He cannot make a difference in the court.
