No Step Vertical Jump Maximum Vertical Jump Bench Press (185 lbs.) Lane Agility Drill 3/4 Court Sprint Rank
Collins, Mardy 31.5 37.5 9 12 3.27 33

Balkman, Renaldo 30.5 35.0 9 11.58 3.22 39

Adeleke, Kenny 28.5 30.5 26 11.57 3.47 23

People seem to say that Mardy Collins isn't athletic but that simply isn't true. His vertical leaps are one of the best in this draft and his sprint was better than Rudy Gay. His lane agility sucked but I tend to wonder what the error on that measurement is anyway. Overall, Collins is very impressive athletically.

Balkman also impresses with the stats here. Again, aside from lane agility, solid results.

Adeleke benches the most of anyone in the draft. Everything else is solid.

How these numbers translate on the basketball court is undetermined - but a priori these numbers seem to show promise.
Sh-t in the popcorn to go with sh-t on the court. Its a theme show like Medieval times.

Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

I agree with almost nothing you post misterearl. But, I suppose we agree on these draft picks and the numbers definitely support an optimistic stance on Collins.

Sometimes when you play in a very controlled system and play very much under control (i.e. like Collins at Temple), you don't look you're a spectacular athlete. He's probably not an A1 guy, but by these numbers, maybe the knocks on him were a little overstated.

athletic results are nice, but if you can't play, you can't play. the thing I like about these guys we got is that they can play both ends of the court.

Thats the point. David Noel's numbers are the best but his skill set is limited. Mardy Collins on the other hand has tremendous ball handling skills AND his athleticism will not limit him in the NBA.

right on the money you guys....

Still the guy with the biggest verticle jump was Jordan Farmar...it's like over 40. That is bull****. maybe someone turned their head and messed up the test or something. Farmar has never shown any ability to get up that high. If he did he wouldn't be struggling so much just to lay the ball up, forget about dunking.

I dont know how much CBB you watch, but David Noel has more skill than Balkman. He also kind of took off at the end of the year in terms of outside shooting and he's also moves the ball well. I wouldnt equate one as pick 40 and one as pick 20.

Thats your call and I won't disagree with it. College basketball appears to be your forte so, until I see them first hand on an NBA court, I'll defer to you on an evaluation of Noel and Balkman. It is worth mentioning, however, that the consensus is that he is less skilled than Mardy Collins and, as I'm sure you gathered, Collins's athleticism was the focal point of the discussion.

^^^^ Wow, you guys are calling Adeleke an smaller less athletic Sweetney. His 3/4 court time was 3.47......... Mwilliams is 3.4.

I hope this guy doesn't died from a heart attack trying to run with RJ and VC.
