Great trade by Bucks. Cause i like Mo Williams more than TJ. Looks like Maglorie may go to Wiz too.

Your Thoughts?

I think it is a better trade for Toronto is TJ can stay healthy.

I just thing TJ Ford is a better player and the Raptors desperately need a penetrating PG, Ford is a true setup man.

I have to admit, I still am not a believer in Villanueva as a big time player, but he has already surprised me once....

Good luck Mike D'Antoni, 'cause you ain't never seen nothing like this before!

Wow! I really like Ford but he's too much of an injury risk and CV had such a great rookie year. Using up $8 mil per for 3 years of Toronto's valuable cap space on Rasho Nesterovic makes zero sense also.

All toronto had to do this offseason was draft Ty Thomas resign Mike James and utilyzed there cap space wisely

look at what they did
rasho
garbosa??
tj ford
baganani???

i guess they want greg oden???

I hope Toronto was smart enough to negotiate to get a pick if Ford's back starts acting up.

i like it for both teams honostly. mo williams will be a better fit at pg for miluakee, while villanueva gives them the sf they need, and toronto gets the penetrator they need. good trade.

Does this mean that they won't re-sign James?

word is they are looking for an S&T. Dallas is interested, offering Marquis Daniels, but Toronto thinks they can do better.

I think this trade can work out really well for the Raptors, but Bargnani better be the real deal. I think Ford is a hell of a point guard. He was really the engine of that Milwaukee team. I kind of wonder what Milwaukee was thinking. You have to believe a Magloire trade is next for some sort of guard.

Hey, can we send them Francis or QRich for Magloire?

i dont think you trade a big for a small--tj is over-rated and has a poor medical history. CV is a versatile 6-10 240 pound player who had some incredible succes his first year, including a 48 point game. the 1st pick in the draft as a LONG way to go to prove he is as good as CV/ if it was me, i wouldve kept CV and drafted Tyrus Thomas

i couldve had
F-6-9 220 Thomas
F 6-11 235 Bosh
F 6-10 240 CV for 10+ years

If Ford stays healthy, I like it for the Raptors.

Thats a hell of a gamble to take on Colangelo's part though. Value wise, they didn't do too well with this deal. Ford is a very good PG though. Raptors better hope he stays healthy.

Terrific trade for the Bucks. Terrible for the Raptors. What were they thinking?
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

I'm with you on the Tyrus Thomas drafting. I think that frontline would have been so dominant that they could have waited to find a real PG. I also don't understand why they added Rasho and gave up Bonner for him. That's like two bad moves in one. But, so long as Bargnani is actually decent, I think TJ Ford and Bosh and Graham is a good nucleus. If Bargnani can at least provide them with outside shooting in year one, I think they will be much improved. To me, Ford was the reason that Bucks team made the playoffs. Heck, he had them at the 5th seed before he got injured in his rookie season. I don't think he's overrated.

I think CV is good, too. But the trade is somewhat surprising for Milwaukee to me because TJ seemed like their leader. Maybe there was some behind the scenes stuff, who knows. I'm guessing they try to get a PG of some sort for Magloire or with the MLE. I mean, Milwaukee's frontcourt of Bogut, CV and Simmons is pretty damn good, too.

Toronto shouldn't have drafted Charlie v to begin with if you ask me.

Right now the bucks are set st moving forward with bogut as the center. Charlie v is the perfect complement to him. Charlie also complements redd. Mo Williams to me is more explosive offensively. They are showing you what type of team they want to be. Mags will definately be gone cuz he doesn't fit what they want to do.

Toronto understands that Chris bosh needs a point guard like tj ford not mike James. Ford to bosh. If ford can stay healthy this is a good trade. If ford can't stay healthy it still was a risk they had to make. Ford is a premiere pass first guard.

Just two teams going with two different styles of play. Great for basketball!
