Francis to IND for Croshere's expiring, Tinsley & a future pick.

Tinsley's signed through 2011, which sucks, but at least u get some tradeable assets for Francis in the deal.
Thoughts?

Doubt Bird pulls the trigger on that deal.

lmao... i was about to propose the exact same thing, then decide to just not bother. My logic is any Francis trade has the same likely hood of Mrs. Fish bring home Jessica Alba for a 3some (not to say she hasnt tried)

I dont think they give us a pick. I would do it regardless. Waive Croshere and try to move Tinsley to the Hawks who are PG desperate and would value him. You could trade him to the Hawks for a future pick and not take a player back.

Then you get rid of Francis for $18mm rather than the $60mm it will cost to have him here.

Good business IMO. Less is more, get this guy outta here

I proposed something like that one a few months ago in my offseason plan, but I was sending picks their way.

not bad fish... if ATL would be interested in Tinsley, i'd definitely make that trade even w/o the pick from IND.

I reponded with the following post in the thread when you first posted this so I'll just post it again. Love the idea and I think it works well for both teams, the only thing I wonder is if Bird will trade with Isiah.

I would do this as well. Tinselys's contract does run until 2011 but atleast his contract is managable and can be traded. This would be great for the Knicks, especially this year because Croshere can shoot and thats something the Knicks coudl really use, he also seemed to have his best 2 years under Isiah well, to Isiah's credit. Wouldn't be too bad, I think Carlisle could get something out of Francis too.

Yeah, the chances of us getting back a pick for him are slim to none unless its a second rounder.

I don't think a swap of tinsley + expiring for francis is that far fetched, but don't expect a pick to come our way. Indy really needs a pg who can penetrate and whenever Tinsley is on the bench things stagnate on offense. Francis>Tinsley, but we don't need the contract

I think the only trade that can be made with IND would be a Francis for Croshere and Foster.

I do the thread trade. I also do:
Croshere & Jax for Francis
and
Try to find another team for
Jax to NY
Francis to IND
Tinsley to ATL/TOR/HOU(Howard NY)

he got the idea from me, who got the idea from one of the pacers mods on rgm.

their idea not mine.

only trade i do is tinsley/croshere for francis

or resigned peja for francis in a 3-way with tinsley to atlanta.
DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

Don't want tinsely or Peja on the knicks with 5/6 year contracts. I would rather have Jax and cap space or all cap space. But Indy ain't doing that.
