We have a lot of young players. I want to know which ones will come in to training camp the most improved? 1) Will Curry finally get into shape? I have to assume now that IT is coaching and even more directly involved with each individual player that he will demand that Curry will be working extremely hard in the offseason to get himself into great shape as well as work on certain parts of his game. Basketball wise, I would work on the following things for Curry - Footwork, finishing with his left, and a couple of simple post moves. He should practice everyday with a big guy defending him who has the sole purpose of trying to draw that charge that Eddy loves to committ.
2) Frye - He needs to continue to get stronger and work on his ball handling so teams wont only play him for the outside jumper.
3) David Lee - Get stronger, become a beast on the boards. He has great hops and he can be a lockdown defender against most power forwards using both his speed and strength. Forget that Frye is a 4 and just develop Lee in his natural position. The hope I think is that Frye, Curry and Lee would be able to interchange at the 4 and 5 depending on matchups. 4) Nate the Great - just keep working on playing controlled but still at a high paced speed. I think Nate might be one of the guys that benefits the most from IT as the coach because IT might let him lose and tell him to just run with the ball at every second possible. Nate needs to figure out how to do that while minimizing turnovers.
