Just another little bad twist/musing on the Eddy Curry trade.

Is Tyrus Thomas (the pick that we gave them)
prepared enough to step in and contribute and help Chicago
to be a better team -- making the pick that we will be forced
to take from Chicago in the swap next year even lower? Ironic?

that Sepholosha kid looks to be a good player too... they got some great athletes over there now along w/a couple great clutch shooters & a great defensive minded head coach.

the Bulls are gonna make some noise this year in the Eastern Conference, no doubt.

Agreed. If I weren't already addicted to this piece of **** team, and I wanted to pick a nice young team to be a fan of, Chicago might be the one. Great mix of players. If Thomas is as good as projected, they're going to be fun to watch.

YOu know I ranted before about a trade that if Eddy even drops dead, gets injured, or just plain sucked the trade which should lower the value we gave the Bulls actually goes up.

I did not consider your point that the no. 2 makes them better and thus lowers our pick regardless of how well we do unless we trump them!

Consider this, what if the bulls went to win now and traded Ty Thomas and pieces for Shawn Marion? Or a the no. 2 became a big chip in a KG trade?

A trade that makes us pay a higher price if eddy and the knicks do well I can understand. And I can live with the pick this year going to the Bulls. But its next years swap that always bothered me and now it is even worse.

Ty is still quite raw and I don't think he is a monster out of the gate.

so far, the deal has been sweetney + tyrus thomas + krhyapa + 2007 #1 swap + CAP ROOM for eddy.

if they utilize that cap room on someone like nene, he's included as well.

we paid a STEEP price. hopefully eddy becomes something he hasn't been yet.

wait dj, you are going to add all those people we got, you have to say Jrose and the pick that he came with for Davis.

But the fact that you only listed everything chicago got and the one thing we got and everything chicago got was picked this year and sweetney speaks volumes about how you are gonna post up until next year's pick swap.

krhyapa? Who in the hell even is that?

Bulls had a decent draft, but they still have no post offense. their defense should be very impressive though.

the weird thing about this trade is that it's adding to what's already an interesting rivalry. Bulls vs. Knicks games will be a lot of fun next year.

wrong. cap room should not be included in the deal becuase the bulls had cap room before we traded for curry. and for all I know you analysis could be wrong in other areas as well

Dolan's minupulation fo the media (read Phil Mushnicks article, link posted on UK home page) will not pay dividends.

Media and writers will brutalize him.

I can't think of a worse strategy knowing the nets are invading your turf than to start the in city rivalry with this mess.

Bad business, bad for fans, bad bad.............

cap room was achieved when they traded us jamal + jyd as well as curry. otherwise, they would be at or over the cap right now.

I think Krhyapa is clearly the key to this whole deal.

but seriously, the key to this deal is still Eddy. If he succeeds, he makes it a good deal. If he fails, it's a bad deal. I think Eddy still has the talent to make it a good deal.

don't forget to add the Frederic Weiss draft pick as well, cuz CHI ended up getting Ron Artest, who they used to get Jalen Rose, who is now a member of the Knicks... wow, this is fun.
