we've touched on him before, bill simmons aka 'the sports guy'.

here's something from today's ramblings

"Here's my vote for the most underrated ESPN Classic: Game 5 of the Knicks-Pistons playoff series in 1984, which features Marv Albert in his prime, Isiah Thomas scoring 16 in the final 90 seconds to send it to OT, Kelly Tripucka's mullet-afro, and Bernard King doing Bernard King things (including the famous two-hand follow in OT). Nothing beats that 18-month stretch in the mid-'80s when nobody on the planet could stop Bernard King. I could talk about this all day."

i love me a good benard king reference. frank williams wear's 30, clyde or marv pointed out, first player to wear it since king. two benard king's in one day. today was a good day.

Bernard King was as good or better than ANY basketball player I have ever seen in my 33 years on this Earth during that period of time- Larry bird Magic Jordan all in their prime. The thing many people wont relaize is that the guy shot in the high 50% range and had the best turnaround jumper probably in the history of basketball. remember the Knicks were AWFUL Bernard had guys droped all over him and they still couldnt stop him. What was worse than that night in Texas when he went down-- remember that game he had 60 pts with 10 mts to go against New jersey in the 4th and he sat down. the guy couldve scored 80 and what was better than a ball coming off the rim and out of no where BK coming into the picture and grabbing the ball and dunking over everyone? My two favorite players of all tiem BK and Chris Mullin
RIP Crushalot😞
