this guy will throw a thrill or two in the SL, but once the big league starts hes done. He will be an NBDL player by year 3---- no player who is 6-6 200 pounds that makes a living rebounding the ball survives in the nba he is NOT ron artest ronnie was 245 pounds and he is NOT even close to denis rodman who was 6-8 225 but very muscular

trevor ariza is a better prospect trevor is an nba player hes longer and more athletic this guy is a poor mans ariza and that is the darn truth ariza avg more points his freshmen year at ucla then this kid at near 23 years old at SC.

anyone get frustersted watching ariza shoot the rock watch the two players we drafted balkman doesnt have a shot and mardy cant shoot really we kind of duplicated positions as well two defensive guards on a team with no real PG and 7 SG

Sigh. It's all true. The Knicks are long past doomed, I just don't know what will save this team now.

Marion is a tweener. Balkman's miles ahead of Ariza defensively

Maybe Balkman will suck, but there had to be a reason that so many teams passed on Williams.

What happens if you are wrong? He will be fine in the NBA at the 3. It is unlikely he will be a Ron Artest type player, but RONRON was drafter much higher than Renaldo. Renaldo could bulk up a little, put on some muscle. But otherwise, he has some very good defensive tools and he plays balls out. It seems you are a bit sour because IT didn't follow your prediction. [Hoping for losses...that is just sad.].

We really didn't need any picks this year. :) And we certainly didn't need another Frank Williams. :)

I can't believe we took this kid at 20. I'd love for him to prove me wrong, but with Marcus, Lowry, Alex Johnson, Ager, Farmar, Boone, Rondo, etc, etc on the board it's insane. We couldn't give this kid a promise that we'd sign him as a free agent or buy PHX's 27th pick? sigh...

I can't call him a bust yet, people of all shapes and sizes make it in the NBA, but this feels like a serious reach and like there was some serious NBA talent on the board at the time.

Frank Williams? Did you even look at what these two players Zeke picked did in their college careers? These guys are full of heart and poise and they perfectly fill the needs of our team. They don't demand the ball to be successful for this team. You guys that don't like this draft are gonna be SOOOO embarrassed that you ever wrote these things.

He's a much better player than Ariza was, and very, very, very good athlete. I think he's gonna be a big presence for the Knicks as time goes on.

This guy is a much better man defender than Ariza. Tho he's not a scorer he still won MVP of the NIT Tournament, so how hard do you think this guy had to play to do that? Come on guys wake up!!!!!

i know who this player is. He a skinny hustle player who has 0 offensive skills other than dunking. he may flash some at SL but when it comes to the big show he will get exposed. there is very little market for this type of player in todays game of advancing skill players.

he scored 3 OR LESS points EIGHT times this year and for all of his rebounding prowless he mamaged double figures 6 times. and as for character, well, give him time hes no angel

i think with isiah's 1 year ultimatum, i figured the #20 and #29 picks weren't going to get significant minutes anyway. we're probably going to trade for a SF (such as dmiles or harrington) so where exactly does balkman play this year? then with our 4-5 guards, where does mardy collins play this year?

so if that's the case, then why not take the BPA or a projected lotto pick at #20 and let him sit for a year or two?

I think these guys will play. look, the main thing we needed to do was build a team that complimented each other. hopefully these players are a step in that direction. we have talent, we have offense galore. we need glue guys. time will tell if these are the right glue guys or if we just witnessed this decade's version of Weis over Artest.
