Fizer isn't worth anything more than our 2nd rounder...I agree with that. I don't know how much another undersized PF would be of use. I think J. Crawford's stock is dropping too. He has had tons of potential, but the opportunities have been there for him to succeed and he has not taken advantage of it....maybe the traingle offense does not suit him. I wouldn't give up 1st round pick for him either...although I would consider trading Frank Williams (late first round pick) for him.

fizer/crawford/Eddie robinson for ward/othella/dice exception/2nd rounder?

chicago wants a backup pg for fizer... a frontcourt player for crawford... they have marshall and chandler at the 3 making robinson and his $6million contract expendable... we get 2 young players with lots of potential (well...fizer has some potential not lots)

Im amazed at how bad this trade is. Sure McDyess is hurt, but he'll be back next year. AND a draft pick AND cash?

All for a severely over rated big guy? Thats awful.

And you cant trade injured players anyway.

People are confusing the Injury Exception with McDyess. McDyess would not be traded....it would be the exception we received for his injury that would be traded. Still you are right....Fizer is not worth a 1st round pick.

I think you can trade an injured player as long as the team receiving the player waives the pysical exam....like the Theo Ratliff trade to Atlanta.

I'm hearing a rumor that has Thomas and the injury exception going to Chicago for Fizer and Crawford. It's a nice deal but i question where it puts us at point guard and center. We are left with Doleac, Knight, and Pope at center which i am not confortable with and we are left with Crawford, Ward, Williams, and Eisley at the point which won't work either. This deal is excellent for the future but i think things need to be changed in order for it to work for us now.

where did you hear that? I posted that on another board, but it was just a thought, not a real rumor. Just wondering if you heard it from a real source...

The Knicks should get a 2nd rounder from the Bulls for that trade. Thomas is a proven veteran who can play PF or C for them, and the injury exception helps them get under. Fizer has never played up to his potential and Crawford, while he has played well at times, never has played consistently AND the Knicks have 2 promising young PGs. I'd say make Krause throw in their 2nd rounder.

A second rounder would be good, they have plenty of those coming from other teams anyway (Crumbs loves those 2nd rounders doesn't he?)

It's an interesting trade, especially since Portland has only room for Amal McCaskill OR Boom x2. Meaning we could pick up one of those two raw centers who have played nice defensively, while picking up a PG and a SF/PF from the Bulls. That would still leave us with Ward and Knight to possibly deal out of here since both their contracts are enticing for teams now.

Fizer Crawford both re-upped with Bulls-forget about them.

they will not be Knicks. Take them off the list. If anyone wanted to know why some people liked Crawford pay attention to his shooting% last year-espeically when he was put in the starting lineup at 20 years old

Why wouldn't Fizer or Crawford still be on the block? If the Bulls didn't re-up them both, they would have zero trade value. I believe they would be unrestricted FAs if the option was not picked up...and now they will be restricted FAs. Also, from the article link it was just a matter of business resigning them with the bulls stating that....

...going along with our practice of not making decisions until we have to, the deadline being tomorrow, we held up with an official announcement
