I don't know about you guys, but unless we can move up or a scenario where sene or marcus Williamd drop enough to afford us the opportunity to move up a notch--i.e 20+29 for 17 etc.... than I for one advocate selecting JJ. Such a skilled shooter comes around just so often and with our INSIDE guys, we could really get the most out of him, especially if we open it up.

Wouldn't be a bad move. I saw Redick play live several times and he is incredibly impressive. Plus, a guy who plays with that passion and heart might actually inspire Starbury and Franchise and other primadonnas on this team.
According to his agent, Redick got a guarantee from 8 to 14.
I think Houston takes Roy at 8.
No idea about GS at 9.
I still believe Hilton will go 10 to the Nets.
Orlando, NO, or Utah could all take it, and I think its feasible for all of those teams.

I'd love to have Reddick if we dont move up. The only way Marbury can be successful is with a shooter like Reddick. I'd love to see Reddick for 15-20mins a game. Bury Q & Jalen on the bench. Then draft a rebounding PF at 29

What if we come across this scenario? Saer Sene and JJ Redick at #20...who do you take? I really want Sene. We really need a guy like him in the frontcourt. We have no defensive presence there; bvut we can also use a a sharp shooter like Redick...whay would you do?

Redick Has Herniated Disc; Dismisses Surgery Rumors 27th June, 2006 - 6:30 pm
ESPN.com - Former Duke guard J.J. Redick told ESPN.com on Tuesday that he has a herniated disc which is pressing on a nerve, but dismissed rumors that he needs surgery.
Redick said he received a cortisone shot and has been pain free for a week. He said he expects to play in the NBA summer league, the USA Basketball national team trials in July and during training camp with whichever team selects him in Wednesday night's NBA draft.
Redick said he suffered the injury while working out at Duke earlier this month before going to the pre-draft camp.
"It really flared up during the combine during the vertical tests and the sprinting," said Redick. "I've been pain free. It was asymptomatic. I've been doing exercises to strengthen my back. I'll be back on the court in a week." [READ]

If JJ is there you dont pass that kind of talent up - I dont know about these other guys mentioned though.
So Briggs, is losing the #2 in this draft that bad? I see some talent up at the top of the draft - and a guy like Morrison would be amazing to have, he is a worker and a winner - something the Knicks need.
