If Isiah's gonna stay with the 20 and 29 picks and not trade up, and we go for a small forward and a power forward/center type I think they have to consider if whoever we might draft is better talent-wise than Woods and Butler at those positions. Where do you guys think these two would go in this draft (Woods in the lottery? Butler second round or higher?) Do we bring these guys back instead of drafting similar players?

How do you guys think SFs Shawne Williams, Thabo Sefolosha, Marcus Vinicius, James White and PJ Tucker (SF that should be around 20 tommorrow night) compare to Qyntel Woods? Would any of these guys be a significant upgrade over Woods?

How do guys like Josh Boone, Paul Davis, James Augustine, Leon Powe, Ryan Hollins, Taj Gray, Matt Haryasz, Marco Killingsworth, JP Batista and for me, the most intriguing, Justin Williams, (big PF types that'll be there at 29) compare to Jackie Butler?

These are questions they should be asking themselves in the Knicks war room tomorrow night! It's a good measuring stick for the Knicks to use tomorrow, don't you think? Let me get some feedback on this guys. I'm curious what you guys think.

I like Butler and Q2. I would like them back and then just flat out release MoT and Jalen.

I would also like a trade with Memphis for Steve Francis or Blubbury for Eddie Jones and their #24 pick.

Totally agree with both points. I think this trade scenario (with Francis, I actually wanna keep Marbury between the two) is the most realistic potential trade Zeke might make tomorrow.

They said there's no way they can waive the six players, and that's totally understandable, but I think maybe 1 or 2 guys HAVE to be waved. I wouldn't mind seeing the expiring deals waived, but maybe Jerome is a better choice.

No shot in hell that he waves Francis or Marbury.

I actually think that Jerome James can be showcased and we can trade this trade deadline or next year. He is a 7' fatty but GMs and coaches are always enamored with 7' stiffs.

My plan would be buy out MoT, Jalen and Malik(who is very hard to trade because of his contract). Trade Steve to Memphis for Eddie. Draft a SF Marcus Vinicius and a PF Josh Boone. Then we try to trade Q-rich

See now that's my original point. Is a guy like Josh Boone that much better than Jackie Butler? I'm not so sure.

Boone's desire is questionable, but I think the fact that he was coached by Calhoun at Uconn makes him a better prospect than JB, who never had any NCAA coaching/experience. Everyone is enamored by Butler and he did have flashes last season, but I still feel like guys here overrate him (not that I'm trying to say we should get rid of him). Guys from Uconn have a history of doing pretty well in the league.

I want Saer Sene at the 20th pick and Mardy Collins at the 29th pick. If we get the 24th pick from Memphis then I want Marcus Vinicius.

Here is my list...

Cut- MoT, Jalen

Stay- Blubbury, Curry, M Rose, Q1, Jamal, JJ, Frye, Nate, D Lee, Butler, Q2, Eddie Jones

Draft - Sene, Vinicius, Mardy Collins

That is 15 players.

NYKBOCKER - I don't think, with the pressure to win this year, we go with a major prospect like Sene.

Why not? Letting him man the middle to protect the middle right now and not worry about his offense would be ideal. Let him block/alter shots and rebound anything in sight.

We have too many players vying for PT anyway. No harm in drafting a prospect.

If I couldn't package Malik Rose in a trade I would buy him out.
We need the roster spot for someone who will actually be part of what were building here.
Malik contributes nothing that someone else on the roster can't.
I would absolutely HATE to see him in a Knicks Jersey come preseasson.

Getting rid of Malik would make it alot easier to get Woods and Butler some PT.

I never saw Sene play, but if he's really this big shotblocking presence that people are talking about, I'd totally go after him. He'd be a great fit down the road.
