the MSNBC article on the front page has a few more details of Spree's press conference. Here's the line that I liked:
Sprewell took a few shots at Layden and Knicks executive Steve Mills, who along with coach Don Chaney informed him of the fine when the team returned from training camp.
“I want you guys to look at those guys and everything they’ve done, look at their decisions since they’ve been here,” Sprewell said. “You’ve all dug up my past, look at Scott’s track record since he’s been here.”
Now that is a piece of truth...maybe Spree is being asked to stay away for being too critical of management when they know what he is saying is right?
What Spree is saying may be true, but isn't there some line like "never bite the hand that feeds you"? Spree should be wary about ending up in a place like... well, Denver or LA Clip where he would not get the contract extention he is looking for - the dude is not going to be young in a few years.
