Why not? Remember, salaries don't have to match exactly in this case because of the injury exception...the Knicks can take up to $4.5M more than they send.

No one else is reporting this though....so I think it is just a silly rumor some RealGM poster made up.

yeah he is right it does work under the CBA if you include the injury exception.

There is not going to be a trade for a starting PG. Ward has been looking great this preseason and at this time there is no need for such a deal. I doubt the cavs will make this deal only because ilgauskas is money so far this preseason.

averaging 18+ppg and 7 rpg

I mean, i just dont see the cavs trading their starting center for sprewell. diop isnt ready to take over yet. the only way i'd see it happening would be if spree was in the last year of his contract.

Oh I can see the cavs trading Z...he is playing too well and could take them out of the L. James swweps....plus its just a matter of time before he goes down with another injury.
