Trading as a salary dump, I would strongly encourage. I would like to see a Isiah exhaust all options in trying to dump the following players (in this order).

Steve Francis
Stephon Marbury
Jerome James
Quentin Richardson

The mid-level would be fine, but we're not getting Claxton or Jefferies at that that price. If it's absolutely needed, keep it in the 2-3 year range.

Agreed on the expirings, unless a (borderline) all-star is on the table. This does not mean Kenyon, screw that!

funny I said this last year....

Draft the 3 BPAs
Let TT and Penny walk off into the sunset
Focus on a system where Frye/Lee/Nate/Ariza/Sweetney/Butler can play meaningfull roles on a nightly basis.

Go from there.

Imagine, just imagine if we had done that

YOu missed the point......... to much logic, the threads not about winning or losing.......... it's about Brown. Look I'll do a better post.

TOTALLY AGREE!!! THIS TEAM OF LOSERS IS SO GOOD, HE SHOULD BE ABLE TO COACH THEM. AND AFTER HE WINS 12 GAMES AND THE BULLS DRAFT ODEN, WE WILL SEE IF BROWN THREW THIS SEASON!!!!

But absolutly I am for any deal that helps the team, any reasonable fan is???No????

I think you see if you can find a taker for Francis- a deal that gets back decent value & less money

I know some kind of move will be made. I think team has more in them than they were ALLOWED to show last year. LB's lineups and character assassinations were the problem!!
I believe that this team will play better because Isiah will find a lineup and allow chemistry to develop and that's where it starts.

If you package Jalen Rose with Malik Rose to get rid of the salary
Then package Q with Mo T to get rid of that crap.
This can work due to having an expiring contract encluded in each deal.
Isiah Thomas will lead us back to the playoffs in 2006 !!!

I jsut worry that q our best rebounding guard will go out like kurt because he attacked marbury during the season. (physically tried to and waited for him outside)

But I hope it's competitive fire that is more artest like with a brain. ChiTown got it goin on.

I would like to see more trades, or anything that increases the payroll. I would love to see the payroll at, like, $200 million, or possibly more. In fact, would love to see the Knicks be the first team with a trillion dollar payroll. Man, that would be cool! After all, it's Dolan's money, right? What do we care how he spends it.
