I see two things happening this next year.
There is one guarantee: Isiah is coaching this team. So we have two possibilities:
a) Isiah actually coaches what turns out to be a talented roster (how many lottery picks are on this team? how many high paid players?) these guys were talented at one point, Isiah has just accumulated somehow the 12 of the top 30 headcases, players with problems related to either teammates, weight, low basketball IQ, or inability to play defense, and it is now up to him or he faces the music. This should've happened last year, that's why the Brown hiring should've never happened in the first place. We all knew Isiah was inept, he should've faced the music, coached the team, and that would've been that. Then we could've hired Brown, who would have been in waiting for a year, to be President and Coach.
Regardless, if Isiah CAN ACTUALLY COACH (WHILE NOT ADDING ANY MORE LONG TERM CONTRACTS) this team (THE TEAM HE HAS PUT TOGETHER), say they go 42-38 while actually developing a rotation, instilling an offensive strategy, and having the players develop confidence, and players like Frye, Lee, Curry, and Crawford all improve and Marbury and Francis co-exist and Rose and Mo T are fazed out and their contracts expire, then there actually is hope. The cap # drops to a manageable number after next year, there will be a pipeline of young players, and there will be a chance. Either ALL OF THAT HAPPENS (yea right!)
OR
b) ISIAH GETS FIRED. And thats it. Either they turn it around, and Isiah can get it done (which I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY DOUBT) OR Isiah gets fired and someone else will get brought in and hopefully this mess ends.
So either way we're going to have a great Christmas. Either Isiah will be fired (I bet he gets until December, just like Scott Layden) or the Knicks will be playing well.
All I want for Christmas is Isiah to be fired. HAHA just the thought makes me so excited to see the press conference for when isiah gets fired, i bet he snaps at the end at everyone, like the pathetic David Brent of the Office).
