10 years ago the Knicks were known for toughness and being competitive.

Now they are literally the laughingstock of American sports, the one franchise that cannot get it right.

What are people's thoughts/comments on that? I mean, eventually this can't continue, so you just gotta keep faith and not jumpship, I guess that is the plan of attack as a fan, but the Knicks have fallen pretty far, in my opinion.

It feels like a vicious cycle since Pat was traded away. Win 30+ games, sell the fan base that we are a player away from a title. All you need to do is make the 8th seed and you can win it all. Then mortgage your future trading away draft picks, young players and expiring contracts for a star that is obviously flawed. Bring in a big name, supercharge the fanbase to buy more season tickets, raise the prices and in the end win 30 more games. Plase the coach in position to win or else and when the team doesn't win, blame the coach, fire the coach and then do the same thing during the next offseason.

I am not rooting for Isiah to fail so that I can see the pattern continue. I am rooting for Isiah to win and at the same time resist the temptation to trade away young players in order to save his job. I root for Isiah to break the cycle, stick with a plan and turn us around. He has not showed me he will change so I can't sit here and say he is definitley going to because I have nothing to base this on. My only evidence is that he will continue the cycle. But I am rooting for him to change and think it's possible.

I really do miss the days of hard nose players. I even miss the days of Shanvis Eisleyspoonington. I can't take anymore complaining, excuses and scapegoats. But with Isiah as coach it better be eradicated. It's clearly Isiah's team now. No more excuses for the players.
