I was at the Stanley Cup finals the other nite and can't tell you how great it was to celebrate a championship!

My son has played for a Hurricane sponsered team (took him to Canada for 11 days!) and we have watched this team over the years since they moved from Hartford.

The playoffs galvanize unity and the stanley cup is one tough trophy to win! Hockey players are warriors and must really come together and play thru injury to win it. Its not always the best team that wins, but the team that becomes "one" and unselfish play with a common goal.

Hurricanes owner is from Detroit and is very passionate about the sport. He sponsers many junior teams in Detroit and really is commited. Dolan pales to most owners, let alone one that actually cares about his sport, his team, or the fans!

It was great being in that building! Maybe one day confetti will fly in the garden!
