The New York Knicks are reportedly shopping their late first round pick (#29), as a few teams are apparently interested in moving up, down or in to the draft. One of those teams is the Miami Heat. What this means is that Josh Boone is apparently not as firm at #29 as many may have thought. Boone has continued to work out for numerous teams drafting in the late first round, to mixed results so far. One respected executive who recently worked him out said that he "had a horrible workout here, but someone is probably going to make a mistake and draft him in the late first round."

also says seattle is looking to get out of pick 10 for a 2007 or late round pick. I mean we do have pick 29 and heck we spent 20mm $ getting these picks--what the heck is 2-3mm$ more???? we can easily have pick 10 and 20 which would not be that bad and good money spent

ah what am i talking about--well spend 100mm $ on someone who is fcked up! 3mm for a draft pick is out of our league--i men we gave away 50mm to lux tax? whats the 10th pick?

Seattle Trading Out?

The budget balancing problems that the Seattle Supersonics are currently encountering may lead them to trade down or out of the draft. The Sonics would like to hire an assistant coach for next year, and are hoping the money they’d save will be enough to help them with that goal. If Shelden Williams is not available with the 10th pick, that would most likely be the direction they head in. The asking price is reportedly a solid 2007 1st rounder, and/or cash and a pick in this year’s early 2nd round.

^^^^I would do that. I would look to trade 29 plus, 3million and next years pick(NY/Bull).

Phoenix Looking to Move Up?

Multiple sources over the past week have informed DraftExpress that the Phoenix Suns are looking to package both of their first round picks (#21 and #27) to move up, likely into the teens portion of the draft. The two players they are reportedly most interested in are Rodney Carney, Saer Sene and Thabo Sefolosha. There are rumors that the Suns might even try to trade with Chicago and move up all the way to the #2 pick, a deal which would most likely involve Shawn Marion.

If the knicks keep both these picks why would the knicks care about adding a rooike in 2007??? Knicks could have 7-9 players 25 and under on the team this season.

10th pick now for a 14-18 pick next year is an great deal.

were the team with the cash i mean it sounds like the no-brainer of all time, you spent how much to get toronto's pick? number 20 and you can have pick 10 for 2-3mm????????? and pick 29???????????

nope we like to spend our money in different ways we like to spend 20mm on Mo Taylor to sit on the bench we like to give lB to sit on his arse in the Hamptons we like to pay shanden andersen 8mm to be a ninth man in the nBA finals, but 3mm to move way up into the draft--not these savvy knicks! we got the team!

I definitely would pick Brewer. he exactly what we dont have a real serious defender with long arms athletic ability who can play both ways well.

There are some attractive pieces at 10

I think thats overpaying... when you look at Seatle's $$$ problems I think 20 + $3mm gets it done.

Id like to trade down from the 29 and go after #36 & #37 from Minny
If they could pull off #20 & Cash for #10.

Take: Cedric Simmons, Will Blalock, Luis Amundonson.

If you move Nate for a first rd pick, Maybe the Kings at #19. Then we could take Sene and keep him over seas or on our NBDL development league team.

10 could yield you O'Bryant or Brewer. Says Seattle wouldnt deal it if they could get Shelden so he's out.

Maybe even an outside chance for Marcus Williams. This would be a nice move to make if you can do it.

Does that rule not get thrown out once you make the pick or am I wrong? In otherwords, can you pick the player for the other team and then trade him to avoid that rule.

btw -- #29 + Nate for #10 does seem like overpaying a bit there dj, no?
