Love it the way you stick to your guns on Shelden Williams.

Do you think Shelden williams can be as good as Charles Oakley?

Are you still high on Redick? Would you be disappointed w/him at 20 (I understand that Houston/Orlando would have to surprise by passing).

My top 5:

1. Marcus Williams (comparison = Sam Cassell)
2. Gay (although there's a risk he could be Tim Thomas, supremely talented guy who plays only every once in a while)
3. Roy
4. Thomas (comparison = McDyess)
5. Patrick O'Bryant (comparison = Dan Gadzuric)

I think Shelden Williams is going to be a decent player, he'll be a good role player but to call him one of the top5 players in this draft is a bit of reach. He'll be a solid player but thats about it.

I'm not disagreeing with you Briggs, I agree he might go top5 but I don't feel he belongs up there. I think he'll be solid for whatever team gets him, just not top5 worthy.

Let's see if Atlanta's promise with the 5th pick, holds true.

Tomorrow ESPNs 3.0 picks will be released- here is the preview of their top 7.

1. Raptors: Andrea Bargnani
2. Bulls: Tyrus Thomas
3. Bobcats: Rudy Gay
4. Blazers: Adam Morrison
5. Hawks: Shelden Williams
6. Wolves: LaMarcus Aldridge
7. Celtics: Brandon Roy

But they stink really really bad. Marcus Williams, Tyrus Thomas and Patrick O'Bryant look, play or have the pyhsical tools of none of those players coming out of college or in the pros now.

But I undrstand, I'll do it the dipomatic way.
Marcus williams is probably more of andra miller type point Guard, with more playmaking abilty. He is faster the sam ever was and can't shoot half as good as sam did/does.

Tyrus Thomas is Tryus Thomas. Can't think of an Small forward body that is as long and quick at the power forward postion and plays well above the rim with shot blocking and rebounding. He is probably a PF heavy verison of what Gerald wallace was this season.
That being said, I know the Bobcats have shown no interest, how good would Wallace/Tyrus/Okafur 2/3/4 be defensively???

And I never seen Pat o'brytan ....... but he doesn't sound like the role player Dan will be limited to he's whole.

Re: the dialogue below.

1. This ANJI guy. Isn't there an age requirement on this site or are 10 year olds welcome?
2. The Marcus Williams/Sam Cassell comparison is less about shooting (yes, Sam has far more range on the jumper) & more about a point guard and the ability to control tempo, hit big shots etc. I think both guys do it well.
3. Boy, if Ty Thomas doesn't evoke a Antonio McDyess comparison, I don't know who does.

ANJI....btw, I cannot decide which is more impressive, your spelling or grammar.

LOL, you didn't just post your profile like it was diploma????

Your comparisons are way off man. I could understand if you said I(you) see. BUt you said equals and ain't nothing equals about those players when all the college kids don't have the tools of th people you compare them to in the NBA and the Guys in the NBA never played anything like the college Kids. BUt to air.....

I can guess at what your trying to spell on some of those words, but the content is way out there.

I think the Gay comparison to Tim Thomas is accurate. I don't think Ty Thomas has the post game Dyess does, though he certainly has the high flying acrobatics young Dyess had.

Cassell and Marcus is an interesting comparison, both are floor leaders who play slower than other guys, but are smart as hell. Cassell is more of a yapper though. I don't the comparisons are that far off.
