We could be the Dallas Mavs of the East.

I'd rather do Steph, Channing and both picks for Dalembert, Iggy, Kevin Ollie and a resigned Mike Bradley(we would obviously cut Ollie and rhe resigned Bradley)

Small bullets aren't necessarily a bad thing! Especially if they score 30 points a game.

Joe, I like Dalembert and Iggy but I don't think they are trading either one. I think AI is going, going, gone.

I agree, I don't think they are going anywhere either (at least not Iggy-and I absolutely LOVE his game, he reminds me of Bonzi Wells with a preofessional attitude-, Dalembert looks like he caught Erik Dampier-syndrome after that fat cat contract), I was just using it as a comparison because I honestly don't think AI should be considered a 1st 2nd or even 3rd trade option from Philly for this team as currently constructed.

They are sick and tired of his antics. AI won't be in Philly come Fall, mark it down. He would eat up the limelight in NYC. If we are .500 it is progress, right?

Don't take this the wrong way, but I see more progress going from 23-33 wins and our youth develops and we develop into something REAL, than trading for an aging superstar who may bring us from 23 to 36-41 wins for the next season or two then we drop off again.

Good point Joe. I don't know. I am so frustrated with this team. If AI came and we caught fire, maybe we win 45. Francis will bring something.

To me that would still, even a 45 win season with AI, really only strikes me as prolonging the inevitable. Maybe I am underestimating AI-and I am a fan of his, BTW-, but a move like that would just seem like more of the same to me.

However, let me say this-if in our plan we managed to keep our youth and BLEND in a vet presence, I would be all for it-

For example, moves like condensing smaller parts into larger ones (Steph or Francis and MO for AI, I can definately live with. Steph and both picks to Minny for a package with Davis and the #6. Francis to Boston for the 7 pick, Lafrentz and a cuttable Dan Dickau.)

Just trades that don't overexpand our playing time too thin over guys that need the time to develop.

They're not redundant enough with Marbury and Francis. We need to get Iverson and then Baron Davis!

the only way Philly would trade us Iverson is if we took Webber as well. and that's truly crazy.

When I looked at the player selector I thought the exact same thing.

I'd rather have twelve good years of Channing Frye than two of Iverson

Yeah man, that's what I've been saying for quite sometime, not just about Iverson either. Having superstars doesn't guarantee championships anymore, especially if you don't have a good team.

He plays with a ton of heart and I love the guy, but his game doesn't even fit this team in anyway right now. Dalembert, on the other hand, would be PERFECT, even though his value seems to be very low. Isiah needs to take a look at Dalembert b/c we so so desperately need shotblocking.
