He wants Marbs to be J-will. He wants Curry to be Shaq. He wants Craw to be Wade. He wants Jalen/Q-Dog to be Walker. He wants Frye to be Hasslem.....etc.

Brown wants to play a possesions game and he wants ball movement and for guys to make the right decicions everytime down court.

Problem is he doesn't coach the Miami heat.

Marbs is way better that J-Will. In fact he is the best player on the Knicks. No way should Marbs have to defer to anyone. Yeah Marbs should be allowed to do his thing. Yes get his 20/8 but within the fabric of the team concept.

The plan should be instead of trying to make Curry into Shaq, they need to set it up the way Brown did in Indiana. He allowed Mark Jackson to run the show and the offense went through him. Even with Haywood Workman out there the game was dominated by good point guard play.

Why can't Craw be run off screens? I love the way Craw played down the stretch though. He looked like Ray Allen. That role is perfect for Craw and more importantly it is the perfect balance to Marbury's game.

Curry is unstoppable getting a pass on the move. If Curry can get the ball inside after a dish No one can stop him.....that is a fact. Yeah Marbs made his money off the dribble drive. So Curry is perfect for Marbs game.

Frye has the sweetest jumpshot among the big man. It used to be KT. Frye is automatic when they are looking for him. Marbs is great, if not awesome in the pick and roll. Match made in heaven.

Q-Dog? The guy is a Marion clone as far as athletisism. Send Q-Dog back door. Have Q-Dog go one on one. Spot him up in the corner and have the ball movement reward him with the three that we know he can hit consistantly. Let Q-Dog play his game within the team concept. Q-dog should be the icing on the cake for this squad.

The bench guys should be humbled and put into roles. David Lee, Butler, and Jerome James should be the only three big men to leave the bench period. Butler should be the only guy looking to post up. David Lee needs to rebound and get out on the break. Shoot when he is open, or off put backs. Jerome James needs to focus on blocking shots and rebounding, period. Nate is the back-up point guard, period. I want him to just play his game. If he is playing well we roll with him. If he sucks...well thats what Marbs is here for. Q-Rich would be perfect to have play behind Craw but Q-Rich has to be able to hit the three again to be apart of this.

Mo, Malik, Francis, Jalen? Outta here!!!!! Make room for draft picks and more low cost free agents.

Booyah Bitches!!!!

Fire Larry Brown and Hire Enystar!!!!

+++

Another thing....they should already know this without a time out. I should be sitting and watching like Phil and Avery. Only time I say anything is if they are not focusing.....the coach has to get guys focused on what they can't see going on in the game. Make the right subs.....and work the officials to keep my players from getting distracted.

Sign me....I'm a free agent!!!

Nobody has replied here, but I'll take a stab at it.. First and foremost, I like your plan. The idea of playing to guys strengths would be nice change of pace. Very balanced attack, inside and out.

The major flaw in your plan.. Defense bro! You didn't mention it once and this group needs a major collective improvement. With the hand-check rules and league-wide athletic improvements, we've got to stick together. We had some of the worst defensive rotations I've ever seen. Play a zone, idk, but let's here them sneakers damnit.

Furthermore, limit 3-point plays! Hard, clean fouls or you sit. No more of this tick-tack, grazing of the elbow. We couldn't even foul properly the last few seasons.

Oh yeah, please pass this on to Curry: BOX OUT man.. Put a body on someone, go for every bound like a Big-mac is being tossed up for grabs!

Good Luck ES!

Hmmm...
It's doable...
I think we already played like this last season and before last season...
Great results...

this is common sense. Why the Larry "I invented the game of basketball' Brown chose not to do this in favor of musical chairs, I dont know

larry refuses to coach to strengths, he wants to make sure players have the fundamentals down before allowing them to add their own flavor...this year, should he return, I'm sure we'll see a mixture of the two.

so we run 30 pick and rolls with Marbury and Curry and 30 pick and pops with Steph an Frye and 25 more curl plays for Crawford.

Defenses won't be able to devise schemes to stop a 3 play offense?

how about move Marbury to shooting guard and from time to time let him run those specific sets like the Nets do with Carter and get a point guard in here who can handle more intricate reads.

also one who cuts, sets picks for his bigs, has some understanding of the tempo the offense should be executed at, knows each and every guy he's playing with comfort zone and strengths, understands clock management (can we for once get a 2 for 1) and the possession rules - taking advantage of those chances to score at the end of the quarter and get the ball back for the start of the next scenarios, is as effective from the sides as he is from the top of the key (does Steph even know the corners are legal playing ground?), utilizes the baseline when breaking down the defense, throws the lob, helps his bigs on the backboards, gets floorburns, chases down loose balls, spills beer on courtside celebrities...

What Brown wants in a point guard: A team first, unselfish leader with a winner's mentality

compared to what he has: A me-first, arrogant player who doesn't get it & never will
