boone and lowry conspicuosly absent i bet isiah has given promises to these two players.

i know josh is the same exact height as CV 6-9 in bare feet but he does have a 7-4 wingspan

my guess is lowry is 5-11/6-0 tops

not many surpises to me in the list i knew tyrus thomas was around 6-8 220 i think kmart was 6-8 230 coming out of college as pick 1

Tryus weighs 217? Wow; he's gonna need to add a lot of weight. In the NBA, power *point guards* like Billups, Marbury, Wade, B Davis weigh more than that!

ty's height and weight may hurt him on draft night.

it looks like he's now in the mold of a marion/g. wallace type SF/PF than a stromile PF/C.

i still think he's going to be a pretty damn good player defensively. he blocked 3 shots and grabbed 9 boards in college, not to mention beating up on uconn, duke, and texas.

Man if the Knicks drafted Lowery and Boone, I'd be an extremely happy man. I'm telling you Lowery is going to be an ultimate sleeper at PG in the NBA, the little guy is a court general and has a very high motor. If the Knicks are able to nab him at 20, I'd be ecstatic.

Lowery sounds so much like Avery Johnson it's scary.

I think thats a VERY good comparison Joe. I'd say he has a tad more talent then Avery did but overall, I think he's Avery Johnson with a bit more talent. Watching him at Villanova, he was the commander of that offense when he was in, even when Foye and Ray were in the game, Lowery was the one who was controlling the tempo on BOTH ends of the court.

DJ. You see the Realgm topic on Ty Thomas, since I know you post there sometimes?? How he said he wants to play SF and is more suited for SF in the NBA and not PF. And he was real rude to the draftexpress interviewer because they projected him down to the #7pick.

So you're saying he is this year's Hakim Warrick, except ranked higher.

yeah, i just read that interview. he is an arrogant son of a gun, isn't he? i don't know if that's a good thing or not tho.

so a SF? that may hurt his stock. but paxson called him a game changer so i think he'll be a guy that will guard the best perimeter player, will grab boards, block shots, and get in the passing lanes. marion/g wallace is what i see.

i was VERY high on ty thomas thinking he was 6'9 or so and could play PF/C. but now, it looks like he'll be in the SF/PF region. but that's fine too. i think he'll make a major impact defensively and will still be a really good player.

it's funny, b/c with frye at PF, we could really use a ty thomas at SF and then a defensive center to shield fyre's deficiencies on the defensive end...much like how dirk is surrounded by josh and damp/diop.

he's a better prospect than warrick - he has a better handle and a more reliable mid-range jumper - and he's more athletic. i'm a syracuse fan and was a huge fan of warrick and watched him alot - there's a difference between them.

Here is the thing...I love the talent, I love the review, and I am usually not one to over rate size, but I would just have to take Mardy over Lowery because with where our team is defensively a 5-10 PG for us with the scary bad defense we get from the frontcourt is a bad mix.

Most guys from temple come out to be very good pros (Eddie Jones, Aaron McKie) or at the very least role players that can contibute in one way or another (Marc Jackson, Duane Causewell, Mark Strickland, Rick Brunson-I know these guys are like 7 and 8th men, but they did contribute.)http://www.databasebasketball.com/players/bycollege.htm?sch=Temple+University

My other concern is guys from alot of the big schools tend to get a bit overrated-I personally feel that a great college coach can make any individual player look very good or very bad regardless of skill because to me college is a coaches league. If Lowery went to a "second tier" type of college like a Temple or something like that I don't think he would be so highly rated.

the bottom line with ty very much like ben wallace or k-mart the kid plays WAY above his size and while some people compared him with stromile swift--this guy is a ballplayer who has a bot of a mean streak hes got touch hes 6-8 220 and he will grow more into his body yet he is so physically gifted and plays so long that there is NO DOUBT that he can play and contribute NOW im telling you if i was the raptors i would pick him and put him at 4-5 with CV and Bosh

i agree 100%. i want toronto (my 2nd favorite team) to draft him. i think they could cause a major ruckus with those 3 in the frontcourt.

no particular reason. i have league pass and i watch a ton of games but for some odd reason i found myself watching about 40 games or so this season and i just liked watching them play. i liked the air canada center and the way the fans got excited about them. and this was mainly pre-colangelo.
