Well, I've followed shaq ever since he was available on nbalive (or whatever they called it back in the sega days) and he does have on consistent characteristic...

he either wins a championship or gets swept out of the tournament.

Kobe's last second game winner against detroit in the 4-1 loss notwithstanding (are there always effing exceptions?).

Is it because he assesses his chances of winning early in the series and basically mails it in from there, or is there something else?

Is he unable to adjust his game mid series?

I don't know what it is, but if Dallas sweeps them, I'm going to have to say he's Not the best center of all time.

lol

I hated him since he bolted from orlando and ruined that franchise, but came around before this year's finals, but I'm back to hating...this is his last shot, after this year he's done...even if he doesn't retire. He's basically an older more expensive Curry by then.

I know everyone loves the guy, and he is funny and I'm sure a great teammate, but I've never been a fan. He constantly disrespected Ewing when he first came in the league as a rookie every chance he got which was just wrong. That used to piss me off. And I also hated the Eric Dampier comment he made last year in the playoffs when he was hurting. That was just wrong. That stupid side of Shaq (that some people don't know about - like my Mom who loves him) along with Pat "Benedict Arnold" Riley bolting for Miami are the reasons I'm in Dallas' corner during the finals. Go get 'em Dirk!

Three players I never want to see win a ring. Mourning, Walker and Payton I can't stand those players. I really don't want to see Pat Riley win either, that bastard bailed out on the KNicks by sending a faxed resignation.

You pass on him, I'll take him with a great big ear to ear smile.

The logic behind these post? One game changes a series and it wasn't Shaqs fault vs. Detroit, they matched up great against the Lakers and Malone was injured, Payton was awful, George couldn't hit a shot. The Pistons got lucky with injuries the year they won, Kidd, JO, and Malone, they would have lost to the Nets and the Lakers would have won the whole thing.....

Orlando was a young team player against a rockets team that was very good, they got a lucky hakeem tip to take the first game and Nick Anderson missed four free throws completely different story....

Shaq is going for 25 and 10 tonight and the series is going back to dallas
