This guys was a really good player before he went down to multiple knee surgeries.....its kinda sad. He would have went down as one of the greats of his era if his body held on. I guess you can still say he was one of the greats from his era....he just didn't last long enough.

Too bad we were generous enough to pay him like he was still a HOF player of the future, even after his injury. We were like Lloyd's of London. He cashed in his insurance chip and wore a uniform on our bench for years.
We could be the Dallas Mavs of the East.

To be fair it was the Suns who signed him to that deal.
A glimmer of hope maybe?!?

It's mindboggling that Isiah agreed to take on that contract.

I think Penny was way more of a finesse player.....Wade is all power and explosion. Penny just had a pretty game....he was a true assasin. He just attacked. Not too much dribbling but he was just a relentless offensive player. His post game was just sick for a guy so slim. That little part where he had Pippen on him? Pippen didn't know what to expect and Pippen was a world class defender.

He was a great 18-20 ft. jumpshooter, and the Shaq he played with got other players plenty of open J's on the perimeter.

he was my favorite for a long time. those injuries decimated his career. what a shame. even when he came over with steph, i think he did a nice job (when used correctly by lenny).and when he was healthy, he would kill the knicks when he faced us.
Who's shooting too much now?

He had potential to be one of the best in the history of the game.

yeah, its a shame what injuries can do to a career. Him And Grant Hill. 2 great players whose careers were cut short.

It's funny how this whole world is based on one dummy controlling another, and the leader dummy was chosen by a whole bunch of dummies.
