It's actually a good question. For all the excessive praise Nash gets about elevating Phoenix's players' level of play and turning the franchise around (when he was merely one of many factors behind it), I'm surprised more don't people stop to think about the fact that he didn't appear to elevate even one player in his 8 or ten years in Dallas. Don't get me wrong; I do like Nash and voted for him b/c I think in nearly any system he'd be superior to Terry but I don't worship him like a lot of people do.

I'm going to have to say depends on the system...Terry playing alongside Dirk is better than a Nash type. Some teams rely on the that consistent second scoring threat that can pick up the slack should things start to sour.

The key being consistent.

The finals have just started, but so far it's a tie, Nash is the MVP back to back.

Depends on the system...Clearly the Mavs are better with Terry, but Nash has played allstar type ball the last 2 year...Is it a coincidence that Nash came alive in PHX's system and when Nash is out Diaw almost averages a triple double?..I don't know, I take nothing away from what Nash has done the last two years....So it's depends...

Yeah, to me Nash's mvp is up there with marbury's 20/8, individual stats.

Until somebody wins a champsionship, they are all losers like marbury.

One thing that sets the knicks apart from other franchises is that it's championship or bust in this city...heck, we've almost won since the early 70's.

We don't want to get to the finals and win mvps, we want championships (ask ewing).

We're building towards dominating the league have key pieces older than marbury, we're racing the other teams next team, and right now in our youth and athleticism, we're built for a nother magical run(s) soon.

Atleast that's what I see when I look at our young lineup of Crawford, QRich, SF, Frye and Curry after playing together for another 2 to 3 years.

You know that line that Marbury like to use is a total load of crap. It's not so black and white. There are degrees of success in the NBA. Marbury is one of the biggest losers out there. He's been in the playoffs how many times? He's won how many series? How many lottery teams has he been on? Marbury makes Ewing look like Jordan.

Stephs one of the best gurds in the league hands down, he's just not one of the best point guards.

Diaw as a starter puts up unbelievable #s whether Nash is playing or not. Of course there's going to be an increase in the assists of the team's 2nd best passer whenever the best passer is out, though. That's nothing unique to Nash.

To be fair, though, if you're going to look at all the factors other than Nash that have contributed to Phoenix's turnaround, you have to look at factors other than the change in PGs correlating with Dallas's turnaround too (Josh Howard improving with experience, Stackhouse's and Avery's arrival)

To be fair, Dallas has always had a squad...Before Stackhouse and Howard, there were names like Finley,Jamison,A. Walker,Van Excel, etc...

So Ewing, Spree, LJ, Camby are just another group of losers like Marbury, Francis, JJ, Mo T and JAlen Rose? Unreal.

I like this new way of rating basektball players. They're all equivalent until they win a championship. This is going to save us so much trouble around here.

dont go thinking too hard about the suns system and tt. tim thomas is making the system work for him.....cha ching

tt's value should now be reasonable to package a sign and trade for k-mart (if amare is questionable)
