...if he is, I think he's a decent target for the off-season, what with the Blazers trying to sell their team. averages around 1.5spg and 1.5bpg when healthy and can score and rebound.

For some reason, I feel like he'd be a better fit than a guy like Al Harrington.

The big question about Miles is: is he healthy? He missed a lot of time in the middle of the season, then played sporadically down the stretch. He had a pretty great stretch in Portland while healthy.

If he's not healthy, it scares me that Miles and Martin are both out there for us with big contracts and bad knees.

I don't know if he's healthy but he's another bad attitude tweener with what looks to be an alcohol problem.

He's the wrong direction. We want to get away from his type.

agreed... steer clear of these spoiled primadonna's & their crappy attitudes... bring in some lunchpale, blue collar type players who will work their butts off & aren't concerned about personal stats more than they are about getting W's.

well, that rules out Harrington, Martin AND Miles. I hope we do, but somehow I think it's a lock we get one of them.

If you fire Larry, Miles is a perfect knick!

Sort of a hybrid of Gazy and Marbury. Lots of potential with the scowl and defient to coaches.

Excellent Knick!

i agree. i was a big proponent of dmiles, i like his skills and i think larry can make him AWESOME...but there's too many red flags and this is too volatile a situation for him.

how about Theo Ratliff and Travis Outlaw for Jalen Rose's deal, cash and our #1s with their 2nd rounder next year coming back. Outlaw is an off the chart athlete and had a strong finish last year. He's probably some time away but give us real potential at the 3.

I would still try like hell to get Josh Smith but I think very highly of Outlaw.

how do you equate Harrington & Martin to Darius Miles? Martin played on championship calibre teams & was as vicious a player on the court that i've seen in years... & what about Harrington says he has a crappy attitude? the guy's improved his game every year he's been in the league & his teammates in ATL seem to enjoy playing with him from what i can tell.

Miles has been nothing but an immature brat ever since he came to the NBA, & nothing about him makes me think he'd be a contributing presence on a winning team... i don't care how much potential he has, i don't want him here & he'd just add to the problems if we got him... steer clear from Darius Miles, please!

Martin is a text book prima donna. I like his game face, but since he left Kidd he hasn't been putting it on too much. He sulks on the court in Denver, I guess because he thinks he should be more involved here. He's not the type of person who will lead on this team or be a good example for the kids. That's not even touching his knee issues.

Harrington seems like a decent guy, but like so many others had his best season right before free agency, doesn't play defense, asked out of Indiana because he thought he should be starting. I don't get why people like this guy so much. He's a good scorer and little else.

Miles at least had dimension to his game, but if he's injured I'd stay away from him too. But for some reason these three seem like the most likely options. Hey, I hope we sign Reggie Evans to the MLE, dump Francis for an expiring deal and draft two young kids from good programs and go from there.

misterearl, you don't fire an owner. But you can start using Direct TV and boycotting the Knicks. Unfortunately, I think we all care too much to ignore this team and that's why that jack@ss will always make money and feel like his way is working out okay.

you can not go to games, you can not buy the jerseys and you can boo management at events like the draft. If enough people did it the job would get done. Something would break

hey, we're free to disagree obviously... i happen to think a 25 yr old up & comer who's improved his game every year he's been in the league & who seems to be on the verge of blossoming into a legitimate Allstar calibre player like Harrington wouldn't be a bad investment to make... he's also not a bad rebounder either, & i think he has the ability & athleticism to be a good defender (i did see flashes of that while he was playing in IND backing up Ron Artest)

to me, a starting 5 of Curry, KMart (or Evans), Harrington, Q Rich & Craw would give us some nice size at every position & give us some good mismatches to exploit on offense... that's a start at least from my vantage point.

not the direction I would go in but we could do a lot worse than Al Harrington. This is what your looking at though IMO
trade Mo T and both #1s for Harrington signed to a 5 year $55mm deal.

2 picks sounds excessive, but the contract seems about right considering what players like RJ & TT made when they signed their deals.

I would think Atlanta would be more interested in Francis + picks. But yeah, something like that.

Harrington isn't bad, but from my watching him, he seems to have a pretty low bball IQ, little commitment to D. He actually reminds me of Tim Thomas, though he's a little more focused. But I don't think he's too much more focused...

Outlaw has really made some great strides, I think he is ready for a breakout year... soon!
