at pick 20 i am open to a number of scenarios because a player who may be ranked high could drop--happens in almost every draft

at pick 29, regardless if some people feel we are set up front, I am going to stick with a player I wanted for this slot--solomon jones and here is why----while he may have some rawness to his game simply you dont have 6-10 athletes like him who can play C and PF growing on trees--its almost a safe pick at 29 and one with a lot of upside. To me, hes a better proepct than Boone or Armstrong because hes more of a fluid player with more athletic abilities. I think we DO need a guy who can come in and block shots a guy who can disrupt a bit--like what diop has been doing for dallas we dont have that i dont see why this kid doesnt have the same NBA potential as a dalembart. Dalembarts raw skills held him back to 28 or 29 in the draft and while Jones has been kind of pegged for round 2, i see the value in him at 29--moreso than other things out there. i think there is a very good chance he is there and I think we should take him

Good Cal Briggs- I've been going back and forth between, Jones and Alexander Johnson, James White in terms of who the Knicks should pick at 29. Appearantly Johnson has had some very imprssive workouts because he's shooting up the charts and I doubt he'll be available at 29.

As far as Jones is concerned, he will def, solve alot of our defensive needs off the bench. He's a tremendous shot-blocker, good rebounder and is quick enough to guard the perimeter (pick and rolls) somehting that Curry nor Frye are good at at this point. One problem I see with Jones is he might get outmuscled in post. He could still use to add a few more pounds.

He also doesn't have much of an offensive game to speak of.

i'm witcha on that one BRIGGS, someone IS gonna drop to the 20th spot AND the 29th. he's definetly an option and so is sefolosha, s.williams, sene, and white. out of this draft we should come out w/a backup c/pf and a sf.
and PLEASE trade francis.

I think Denham Brown is a much safer pick. He comes from a solid program and he plays both sides of the ball.
Isiah Thomas will lead us back to the playoffs in 2006 !!!
