dido wants john thompson as consultant:
"This man knows exactly how to make big man and little man play like they should. For an organization with a front line of: Frye, Curry, Lee, Butler, James and whoever else, We need John Thompson to guide those young boys into: Zo, Ewing, Dekembe etc..."

dido GUARANTEES playoffs if zeke is the head coach:
"Zeke has been running away from his opportunity to win a championship as a coach. Once he decides to assume the position that is his destiny, which is the Knicks head-coach, his fortune will turn around..."

"I don't believe that there is any team out there stupid enough to trade for Curry. He is not a true Center, doesn't have the heart necessary to become a beast, and not disciplined enough to maintain his own weight. Given the money that he is due to make, no team will gamble and trade for him unless he comes out next season and dominate"

"I never like Francis, Crawford and Curry....and now, they are all playing for my favorite team."

"I wrote a thread before the start of the season calling for the Knicks to hire a drill sergeant/karate/dancer to teach our boys conditioning, discipline and positioning, after I wrote that thread, some idiots on this board and Ultimateknicks.com made fun of what I have proposed. If you look at our front court, for years this organization has been known to produce nothing but fat and lazy but talented big men, I actually think that it is imperative to have such an instructor in the coaching staff. We need someone to teach shooting drill, positioning and one to strictly teach guys about strength and stamina"

dido on roy and comparisons to crawford:
"6'5" combo guard like Crawford???? This dude is going to have a miserable career just like Crawford...I hope that he is smart enough to put on some weight and develop a well rounded game on both ends of the court."

"Highly skilled player like Crawford?????? what in the world has happened to the world of the NBA?"

"What has Bryant done without Shaq? What has Iverson done since the last time he made it to the finals? What has KG done without Cassel and others????

To win, it take a hell of a combination to make things happen. yOu have to have a good GM, a good coach who is willing to adapt to his talents, and a good mix of players that can play the game of basketball. Marb has yet to have any of that. Look, Marb has his weaknesses, but Kurt or Van Horn, or Fugazzy should keep their freaking mouths shut...."

"Sheed or Ben to N.Y??????? YOu guys are crazier than I actually thought"

"what's with the hate for Marburry????"

"You don't understand...we have been a bad organization in my opinion, since Herb has been instilled as a coach....Think about it...he is nothing but bad luck..."

"Brown and Herb Williams have to go....What has Herb done for this organization....???"

"Let's be realistic...it will take a good 3 more good years of shrewd business deal and excellent coaching for us to win a championship."

"As a Knickebocker, it annoys me to read and listen to people trashing my beloved team. It bothers me dearly seing what is going on with my organization the last 6 years...You have granted the Knicks a few nice players, but poor coaching decisions and players attitude have destroyed what was to be a pretty good year for the Knicks. Please, pretty please, please gods, change our fortune next season.

Grant us KG
a coach that can adapt to our talents
and a trip to the playoffs"

"Zeke's last big move will be to acquire either KG or O'Neal. He will coach the Knicks next season and will be very successful at it."

"Look here.....Fire Brown and Herb, replace them with Zeke, Laimbier and Ewing.....trade: Francis, Q Rich, Mo T, and replace them with a shot blocker, a true back up PG and a defensive SF that is extremely versatile (Jarred Jefferies), and suddenly the Knicks will be exciting once again. You really don't need to overhaul the whole roster....If Curry doesn't work out to be the ferocious rebounder/inside presence that we wish for him to be, get rid of him. However, we have to bring in a big man who is known for rebounding/scoring/shot blocking to teach him. Reach out to both Ewing and Lambier, and consider Oak in the mix if one of those two guys are not willing to join the team."

"simply put, we don't need Miles...he is worse than any of the players on our roster. He is as dumb as both Crawford and Curry...we are trying to add character guys on the roster, therfore Miles doesn't qualify."

Why are we quoting Dido here? Wasn't it bad enough when he did that himself?

DJ, your a true "Didologist".

Dido is a prophet of prophetic stature! To know Dido, is to know that does in fact make sense.

Only battery terminals attached to my testicles could make me duplicate such a rush of truth, wisdom, helucination, and ignorance all into a congruence of stew that is only "Dido".

We are not worthy of his words, his message and insight.

I wonder what "Dido" looks like?

Its not crap. The man is poetic knick rant in motion! The pure Dido encapsolates the true meaning of what its like to be a fan.

Its frantic, yet desporate. Has clarity, yet is murky. Gets right to the point then darts out in a random fashion.

Its Dolan and Isiah all wrapped up in one gooey concoction we call: "Dido"!

We need him back! Its not the same.

Dido is a Knickerbocker! He might just be Isiah?

damm thats a noice assss!

DLee is the best thing to happen to NY in Isiah's 4 year tenure. And that alone, though a positive on the radar, is sad as hell.

I know you've always enjoyed Dido, Nalod. I dunno, I don't like having him using the same exact handle as me

I have always hated this about Dido and several other people here. Can a coach impact a player's development? Sure, no doubt. But to suggest a player isnt developing because of a coach is insane. Those guys he mentioned, Deke, Ewing, Zo are 3 players with an incredible work ethic. 3 players that came into the league hungry and played with a chip on their shoulder. Those guys were going to be good no matter who coached them. This notion that guys being out of shape or unmotivated to play hard is somehow a fault of the coaching staff gets under my skin. Kurt Thomas got better every year. Camby got better every year. Allan Houston did things to improve his game. Hard working players get better, and are always ready and in shape because they are hard working players, NOT because their team hired the right coach to work with them. If Curry shows up slow and out of shape, and hasnt been working on a jump hook, a baby jumper from 10 feet or how to get good rebounding position its because he doesnt love basketball, NOT because we didnt hire the right coach.

Thompson had those kids for 4 years. Very formative years where they learned and developed not just ball skills, but many life skills. When they got to the NBA they were men on and off the court. 4 years of college helps. 4 years of commitment to your studies, juggling your schedule, taking care of your self, making lifes mistakes and learning from them without the pressure of the NBA. Sure its pressure packed, but Thompson isolated those guys and helped them in a lot of ways. Othella, while not a star turned out to be a solid pro also!

Too many super talented kids come out too early and are mental midgets!
