I think if something was going to happen, it would have by now. But who knows - if it goes on this long and then something eventually does happen its totally unprofessional - if they were going to can him it should have happend within days of the season ending.

Dolan doesn't just like to fire his coaches. He likes to torture them for a while first.

Larry's gone. I still think Dolan is putting all the pressure on Zeke for next season.

Dolan told all the players that ISIAH AND BROWN are here to stay and that the players are the ones who need to start improving. All that turned to crap since this whole Brown getting fired episode turned on. Dolan is a prick.

IF isiah is smart, he should try ot mold a team that Brown can work with. Compromise?

If LB is fired than Dolan is one nutty mixed up dude with impulsive tendancy.

We are doomed.

Whoa is the knick fan, whoa.

I think LB tried to make a point by having a miserable season. I think he intentionally "threw" the season as saboteur should pay. I think he deserves everything he's getting. If I were IT, and JD...I'd never be able to trust him again. And if you cannot trust an employee, you cannot have that employee.

Has IT made some bad moves? Yeah...Jerome James is the poster child for that. Does JD have the anti-Midas touch? Yup.

But LB deserves the ax. Let's put it this way, if he coaches this average roster to an average season & there's hope in the form of Lee, Frye etc. We're not all talking about the # 2 overall pick. The Bulls would be getting Quincy Douby or Shannon Brown with our pick & we wouldn't worry about it. Instead, thanks primarily to LB, its Aldridge or Thomas.

Don't let LB get away with this disingenuous move!!!

This delay now IS very interesting though. Maybe Isiah has realized that putting all his chips, his career, his reputation, etc, in Marbury's hands rather than Brown's is incredibly stupid. I have a feeling that the "Fire Brown" edict came from Dolan. Dolan is all about respect, he felt Marv Albert, the most important and best basketball play by play man in history, disrespected the team a few times in a crap season so he fired him.

I'm wondering if Zeke never wanted to fire Brown, precisely because he thinks Brown is his only chance to save his own job. Because if Zeke is fired in the next year, he will never work in the NBA again. Not after this. I'm sure Thomas was furious with Brown for the season, and frankly as much as we all have a right to be furious with Dolan and Thomas, we all have a right to be furious with Brown. But even with Zeke furious with Brown, I'm starting to get that he might think his better chance to save his own hide lay with Brown.

But what I wonder is - is Zeke stalling Dolan to try and move Marbury and keep Brown? I'm thinking yes and probably to Atlanta or Minnesota or Denver.

I care about the Knicks but I've lost all hope for the team *ever* being good because I see no way Cablevision will ever sell the team and no way the team will be good under Cablevision. I'm 27 and I don't think the team will go deep in the playoffs before I'm 87. I post here more because I'm an NBA fan (and I guess a very unenthusiastic Knick fan)

Maybe Dolan and Isiah were pulling their own juice card, like LB did on Marbury- and it is coach the roster and stop the bs.

I say keep Larry Brown. Give him half a season to turn it around. If we're at .500 or better... or within 5 games of 1st place... stick with him for another season.

If Larry Brown bombs again, let him go. Let's face it, the Knicks not only were a below average defensive team, they simply don't have any players that have ever demonstrated above-average defensive skills at the NBA level. Defense is a fundamental part of the Larry Brown game. The Pistons had actually been primed on a year or so of Rick Carlisle's defensive regimen, so they were more prepared to take the Larry Brown leap than these Knicks were.

I think it's a matter of time before the Knicks turn it around *IF* they stick w/ Brown. If they don't, it's like starting from ground zero again.

I think the Knicks should keep stringing Larry along for a while, then say they've decided to keep him.

Then they should let him run the training camp. Now, here's the fun part - on the night of the first game of the season, just as he's about to walk out onto the court, Thomas tells him he's fired, and has him escorted off the premises by a phalanx of MSG security guards!!!!! LOL!

I just think it's been too long since the Knicks have properly tortured and humiliated a coach - not since Cheney. They've made a good start with Brown, and I hope they finish the job properly. That's what it's all about, right? That's why we're Knick fans.

you forgot the part where he makes lb join the vince mcmahon "kiss my ass" club...but before he's about to pucker up, the lights go out and the ultimate warrior music starts....but only this time, ben wallace runs out and saves lb and beats down mr. mcmahon and his stooges - isiah and mills.
