New York Post - One of Larry Brown's assistants called Ben Gordon's agent, Lou Tucker, to let him know that he would love him to become the point guard of the Knicks.

Bulls GM John Paxson denies that a member of the Knick staff inquired about a trade, but Bulls coach Scott Skiles appears to prefer point guard Kirk Hinrich, and Gordon wants to play the point.

Gordon lives in Manhattan. [READ]

Would be really nice if the Knicks could somehow get Gordon here, maybe in a sign and trade or something.

This should also quiet the fears of some posters on here that Larry Brown only wants to bring in old vets.

Gordon is really something. We desperately need a player with his killer instinct. Unfortunately what are we going to do with the other 7 shot first PGs currently on the roster

What could we possibly have that Chicago would want? More first round picks? That's worked out real well for us. If any deal can be made that does not include Lee or Frye, I am all for it. But will Gordon play the point, or will does he like it cause he touches the ball every play--shoot first ask questions later. We have enough of that.
You know I gonna spin wit it

I think Paxson is screening his caller ID for any number that looks like it could be from the Knicks.

Aside from that.....Gordon is not a point guard. Nothing much else to say. Hinrich is their point guard and Gordon works well with him back there.....the Bulls need help inside and I would be in shock if Alderidge isn't their pick in the draft if he is available.

It wouldn't be enough imo, but Lee would be a good place to start if we were really interested in Gordon. Or find a suitable partner for a three-way deal.

I say let Nate mature, he can be that guy for us..

I say the same....The guy is 5'8" or whatever....he is gonna have to be a point guard. He plays very similiar to Marbs except he gets inside to rebound and can hit the three. It would be nice to hold on to him and just let him develop behind Marbs. When Nate is ready then let him take over. That would make sense....Nate is not a bum...the guy showed he belongs in the NBA.

Clean house and just roll with these kids that's what I say....Fire Brown and get the focus back on basketball.

lots of times nate beat his man and dropped gorgeous dimes on curry. he has to look to that more as his first option whenever it's available.

I agree that Nate can be an effective PG, I just don't think he is a starter- he would be perfect off the bench, 25 to 30 mins max- similar to Earl Boykins - a pace changer to give a different look to the team.

LOL! Larry doesn't like Marbury or Crawford at PG but suddenly Gordon is a good fit at PG? Larry is so full of crap.

At this point, everything coming from Larry's camp is PR spin.

I've not seen Gordon play point so I'm not weighing in, but he does play with more fire than anyone on this team other than perhaps Nate, and he can shoot and is clutch. In that regard he's something like Nate and JC rolled into one, and we need guys who can shoot.

If there's truth to the report Brown probably figures he could Billips-ize Gordon into a competitive distributer with a Big Shot. Then he could pair him with a Hamilton-ized Crawford who's running off screens to set up a midrange game, or pair him with a big guard who can pound it low, like QR or Woods.

But no doubt Brown would like Gordon's fire and motor, and you know Isiah always goes mushy for anyone who torches us at The Garden.
