I have never seen a worse refereed game than last night. Dicky Bavetta wanted to be the star and Bob Delaney was no better. They took Phoenix out of the playoffs. Before you tell me that it cuts both ways and that Terry and Devin were also in foul trouble, I ask you this. Was Phoenix up 18? Then they were forced to put TT, Barbosa and Bell on the bench. If you saw TT's second foul, where Dirk pushed him and should have been given a foul, you know where I am coming from.
In the second half, Phoenix, not known for defense anyhow, couldn't guard anyone for fear of picking up fifth fouls for Barbosa, TT and Bell. This was a home game for Phoenix. It is an unwritten rule that the home team gets the calls. Someone forgot to tell Dicky B and crew.
This would have been a seven game series. Thanks to the refs, the Suns are done.
Furthermore, how dumb was Mike D'Antoni? He has Marion with one foul and yet he makes TT guard Dirk when he has four fouls. Steve Kerr pointed this out and I couldn't agree more. Lastly, get Raja Bell out of the game and play Eddie House. I don't think Bell scored all night and he obviously was in no shape to play with his calf problem. Why was he on the floor? D'Antoni had a real bad game last night also.

More Dick Bavetta bashing: From today's Star Ledger with Dave D'Allesandro, "Addendum from the Spurs-Mavs series: Hardly anyone remembers that technical foul that Dick Bavetta called on Michael Finley at the 4:44 mark of the second quarter of Game 4, but the league told the Spurs that it has been rescinded. No big deal? That game went into overtime, and the Mavs won by five, so the T (converted by Dirk Nowitzki) was, shall we say, relevant."
Bavetta calls too many fouls and wants to be the center of attention. He should be fined by the league and never allowed to ref in the playoffs again.
