Someone please remind me about how much more they are scoring and their margin for victory.

LB can coach. He did a SH!T job for the KNicks last year but he's also shown in the past that he can turn around bad relationships and make them into great results on the court. I should certainly hope he can do that with Isiah's goldenboy next season

I found it funny how many people jumped on the flip saunders bandwagon and now they are jumping off.. LB is a great coach, he did a bad job last year, but considering the circumstances with this ongoing circuis in NY, I can live with that, with the hopes of him turning things around if given the chance..

I cant believe how easily the Pistons lost. I mean, they were taken to the brink by the Cavs and won only 2 games against the Heat instead of 4. There has to be more reasons than just the coach. If Ben Wallace leaves this summer, Detroit was a championship contender only under Larry Brown!

I have never said that Larry is not a good coach, but Larry's team barely got by a Heat team that was hurt last year, took them to seven games...This year, it was the Pistons who was hurt...One place that I think Larry would have helped would have been motivation...It really didnt seems like the Pistons played hard or was hungry....

That being said, nothing can erase the shet job that Larry did last year...If left up to his own devices he would further sink this organization in salary hell and field older hurt players in efforts to win now.....NO THANKS...It now seems like the model of having a two superstars on a team in now back in vogue...Guys like Larry Brown will now take a back seat to players on the court again..

LB's Pistons weren't going to the finals last year if Wade didn't get hurt in the series. And Shaq wasn't right healthwise either. People conveniently forget this to make a case for what a great job LB did last year.
We could be the Dallas Mavs of the East.

injuries are part of the game, and wade always seems to be injured.. who's fault is that?

First off Shaq is no longer playing at a superstar level. the reason Riley went out and got Walker Williams and Posey is because you need more than 2 guys and a caboose to win

Flip losing has no bearing on the new NBA. The mark was set by the 04 Pistons. you are about as stuck on stupid as our dumb ass GM if you believe that ideology hasn't been RIP'ed.

28 points 16 rebound and 5 blocks in 34 mins of work form Shaq spells superstar in my book...Guys like Kobe and LeBron are taking your model to game 7 single-handedly...If these guy get another star to play along side them, I'll see how stuck we are on stupid...

What are the facts here? Well they are..

The Pistons won a world championship and lost the finals in 7 games in Browns 2 years in Detroit. The year he wasn't there, they didn't even make it to the finals.

Shaq is still really good and had a great game 6. however David Stern and the rules committe have steered the league to team play. guys in the concept of this are emerging as leaders and showing a will to compete above all others.

thats why Tim Thomas could look as good as Dirk through 3 quarters and then Dirk totally seperates himself ibn the fourth the other night.

Lebron getting another star likely won't happen. Somebody else emerging as a leader and competitor likely will.

I agree, I think it was more than just coaching but their coach stinks. This Detroit team got pushed to the brink by the Cavs!! Flip Saunders is definitely not a big time coach. Rick Carlisle would do much better than him.

Well it could be a few things at work, maybe Flip does stink, but maybe these guys aren't hungry anymore, they certainly have the talent to beat anyone, it's just difficult for me to believe Flip lead them all year where they played like monsters then he looses it all in the playoffs...

you can spin it any way you want. their own players said they don't pay as much attention to defense anymore. there were grumblings about coaching. so i'll take their word for it since they've been to two finals in a row.

But if it's not his place to tear it down then whose is it? The Knicks need to let someone with some sort of credentials to bring a new culture to this organization and Larry Brown is the only one with the credentials.
