Look at his stats: he has the same numbers as Keith Van Horn over his career. 16 points and 7 rebounds. Yet KVH is largely seen as a bust or at least an underachiever, whereas Rasheed is looked on as a bigtimer. Why? Rasheed is a good complementary player, no more no less. Also keep in mind, KVH's numbers would be much better if not for being on Dallas lately and injuries.
Why does Rasheed get a pass for not showing up every night when guys like TT are dogged eternally. In fact, Udonis Haslem has played Rasheed to at least a draw in this series with Miami.
We could be the Dallas Mavs of the East.

the numbers don't illustrate the fact that he's a much better defender & shotblocker than KVH... that's probably the biggest reason... i agree that he's a bit overrated, but he's a better player than KVH, i can tell u that much.
After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.

Ask yourself this question, does Detroit get to a Championship and win with Van Horn instead of Rasheed?...Rasheed is hurt bro..Chuck Daily said he is more hurt than people know during Mike and Madd Dog today...

I don't think the stats tell the whole story. Rasheed is a flawed player, but when he's at his best, he's very good.

I am not talking about this series only. Career wise the numbers don't impress.

I have to say this, I think that KVH got more out of his talent than Rasheed did. Rasheed had/has the talent to make a comparison like this laughable, but never put it all together.

Rashweeds destructive behavior in portland and technical fouls don't show up as stats either.

Rashweed in LB's last year was starting to mail it in again.

He pulled up nice because of the strength of the team and they would not put up with any BS!

But he was an idiot in portland.

I'll take Raweed over KVH anyday, but I do think that Van Horn has a lot more natural talent and athletic ability. It's just ashame he couldn't really make much out of it. He could have been a hell of a player.

However, I think 'Weed is an underachiever in his own right in that he was always a very very limited offensive bball player and not the greatest of rebounders. Very good defense. To me, he's a top notch role player and people perceive him as an all star when either he really isn't, or those days are gone.

Actually, I almost hate Rasheeds offensive game. He jacks up more 3s than most shooting guards. Must be irritating if your a die hard Piston fan. I know it was to me, in the games I saw and was rooting for the Pistons.
