I know it doesn't sound likely, but it could happen. If they beat Dallas, which is 50/50 in my opinion, the Heat are going to have match up problems galore. Shaq isn't going to matter as much as he would normally. Sure he will score easily, but he is going to have to get his big butt back up the court and on defense he will be a liability. Who will he cover? Tim Thomas, Sean Marion. Good luck. So I really hope Phoenix can sneak by Dallas. Tonight scares me with the pace so far. It has to be higher scoring.
We could be the Dallas Mavs of the East.

Tim Thomas was such a big addition for them. And Diaw is awesome. TT talks too much. I'd liked the aggressiveness when he broke up that Mavs huddle, but it sounds lame to then announce on TV that you're trying to send a message. At least he didn't say "Dirk is fugazy"!

I think he was obviously pissed about the hard foul by Josh Howard. The guy did go to his head. They didn't call a flagrant when they should have.

Elite, I wasn't kidding awhile ago when I said Paul Westhead should be a candidate for the Knicks upcoming coaching vacancy. His style is similar to D'Antoni's. Give it a shot. We are more suited to that then plodding and half court crap with the wrong personnel.

losing bell hurts them big time. it's just one too many injuries.

look at their IR - amare, kurt, and bell - 3/5ths of the starting lineup they anticipated when the season started.

Same old TT. Did anyone else see his lack of effort on defense? He was simply swiping at the ball while guys went by him. The Suns got killed on the boards tonight, and I never saw TT mixing it up fighting for boards.

What game were you watching? TT had 10 boards. He did have a costly turnover down the stretch but Marion did a lot less.

In fact, Josh Howard outplayed Marion badly. Matrix didn't get it done tonight.

Elite said lack of effort on defense, not lack of effort rebounding. And Elite is 100% correct. TT was still a great addition for the Suns for this one (contract) season, but he's never gonna give a consistent effort on defense and he's probably gonna return to terrible tiny tim after he gets his next contract.

once bell returns dallas will have to regroup....make no mistake about that. have to wonder how much suns have left in the tank with back to back 7 game sets

mavs capitalzed on what a good team suppose to do, nothing more

d'antoni's system may be the best system currently out there

yea, and we thought the same thing about the NJ series. I wonder how that turned out?

If shaq is scoring easily, at some point the suns are going to have to stop him, you can't let a guy score 40 points under the hoop on dunks, that is just too efficient, because you know wade is going to score and walker, you just can't do that. I find it funny how people think that the suns can just run and the other team do nothing. If the suns can's stop shaq, it will be a short series, miami can get defensive stops, guys like payton, posey and zo can make it tough on the suns to score in the paint, and if you think they are going to win shooting 3's while shaq shoots 75% from the field, then you will be dissapointed..

You can't dominate a series inside anymore than Elton Brand did, and the Clips still lost. At this stage, Brand is a better offensive player than Shaq. So I don't think you are right. Also, even on made baskets, Phoenix often scores in 4 seconds or less. It is incredible.

Looks like it is going at least 6 games. Suns got a boost with Raja playing tonight. If they hit the 3's, they are hard to beat. TT has done a good job on Dirk tonight defensively. Refs are letting them bang.
