The real question is, will these people go to prison and for how and long AND to which prison? They have destroyed people's lives and their personal assets should be turned into a fund for the victims of their fraud.

Lets just say they are not going to Oz, but no country club either. And they will spend most of the rest of their lives. Its not pretty.

Sentencing will be Sept 11th.

Or house arrest and forced to watch Knick games the rest of their lives!

This is actually a starphuch, because so many companies and exceutives were in collusion with this that for only like 4 executives in total to be convicted on this is laughable. There were so many hands involved in this that these guys were basically front men. I wont call them scapegoats because they are pretty high up and reaped sizable parts of the rewards, BUT....

Where is the money? Where are people's pensions? Where is that Stuff. I listened to democracynow.org this morning and they broke this thing down quite abit. This is a smoke screen, it is still crooked ass business as usual.

Other companies executives?...The administration might have been involve because there were high level meetings in Washington with energy officials, our beloved vice pres and companies that trades energy, including Enron..It is suspected the price fixing of energy prices was discussed in the meeting...People went to court trying to get transcripts from that meeting...They failed of course..Later, two former Enron executive was given over 400 hundred million dollars as part of the transportation bill to explore alternative energy sources....This happened about a year ago, after everyone knew about Enron fraud...The balls of our adminstration and these guys.....Ken Lay and our Pres, Vice Pres are personal friends...U guys think the Knicks are in a mess, our country is in worse shape...

Big multinational banks like Chase and Citi masked loans to Enron which Enron used and recorded as profit...These banks were fined 100s of millions of dollars for this practice but largely went unnoticed by the general public...

Any proof of Isiah's involvement was shredded. However, Isiah should get jail time for his management of the Knicks. Pitiful.

Back to Enron...some very good points in this thread. I'm glad that a few involved with get theirs, but I agree that the scandal stretches much further than just a few executives.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.
