We need to get rid of all these long contracts and trade for expiring contracts...

1st Move
Send Stevie Franchise and JJ to Memphis for Eddie Jones(ENDING Contract), Jake Tsakadilis(ENDING Contract) and their 1st RD pick this year (24th). Why would the LOGO do it? He needs a playmaker and Stevie might be what his team is lacking.
CUT Jake.

2nd Move
Send Statbury to IND for Croshere(ENDING Contract), Bender(ENDING Contract) and 1st RD pick (17th)
CUT Bender and Croshere. Why would IND do it? They get the BEST PG for ending contracts and a mid-1st rd pick.

3rd Move
Cut Jalen Rose

4th Move
Cut MoT

5th Move
Split the MLE to sign Woods and Butler

Draft the following
17 - Saer Sene 7' C (Defensive and Rebounding presence)
20 - Shawne Williams 6'9" SF (Run and Jump athlete)
24 - Rudy Fernandez 6'6" SG (Ginobli clone)
29 - Josh Boone 6'10" (Blue Collar type rebounder)

Roster
Eddie Jones
Saer Sene
Shawne Williams
Rudy Fernandez
Josh Boone
Eddy Curry
Malik Rose
Q Rich
Jamal Crawford
C Frye
N Robinson
D Lee
J Butler
Q Woods

Starting 5
PG-Jamal
SG-Eddie Jones
SF-Woods
PF-Frye
C-Curry

Rest of 9 man rotation
D Lee, Butler, Q Rich, Nate

Bench
Saer Sene, Shawne Williams, Rudy Fernandez

Inactive List
Boone, M Rose

I have no faith in Jamal as this team's starting pg. Replace Boone with Lowry and if he isn't available go with Blalock.

My thinking is that we can get away with Jamal at the point and use Q2 more as a point forward.

Then the next year we say bye to Eddie Jones and move Rudy Fernandez to the SG spot where he can also create ala Manu.

I think Jamals play warrants him a try at the point for this coming season.

No one is taking Jerome James and Steve Francis these trade proposals are so unrealistic, we killed all trade value for Marbury this year.....

I love everyone rejecting the possible Marbury deal before the season for ending contracts to atlanta which we would be begging for now....

Pick Lowry he saves all in the long run, defensive minded leaders is what we need......

Hopefully Nike triples Lebrons contract to come to the Knicks otherwise we are never going to win anything

You don't trade Marbury, you give him away.

Maybe if we showcase him in his wife beater outfit we can get a bite from another team.

When you said wife beater, I was just glancing and thought you were referencing Jason Kidd for some reason. Remember a couple of years ago when those Celtic fans were waiving them around when Kidd went to the foul line. That was creative, sick but creative.

NYKbocker - anything of substance to add?

The feeble attempt at enetrtainment is, at best, awkward.

Certainly Marbury has his ego-issues... but now you label him a wife beater?

Pull up.

Wife beater, also wifebeater, and sometimes abbreviated as simply beater, is a slang term used in North America, Scotland, Australia and various other places to refer to an A-shirt, tank top, singlet, or 'muscle shirt' when worn as a sole, outer layer as opposed to being worn as an undershirt. This term is often seen as demeaning and is often associated with the similarly derogatory phrase "white trash".

"Guinea T" and "Dago T" are other terms for the same style of shirt; and arguably just as offensive, "guinea" and "dago" both being ethnic slurs against Italian Americans, among whom this style of shirt is stereotypically popular.

The origin of the term is from the stereotype that the shirts are worn predominantly by men who beat their wives; black tank tops were often worn by Ike Turner, a notorious abuser of his wife Tina. In the 1980 movie Raging Bull, the main character, a boxer, is commonly seen wearing tank tops around the house, including in one scene where he beats his wife. Another likely source for the association is the movie A Streetcar Named Desire, in which Marlon Brando's character, Stanley Kowalski, also frequently wearing tank tops, violently beats his wife (see below).
