You are extremely generous with Reddick and O'Bryant's spots. Carey at 17??
Rondo drops to 27??
Briggs is this mock based on team or just your player rankings.
Walsh taking Carey after drafting Granger?

No Roby in the 1st round, an athlethic 2 with an outstanding stroke, doesn't make the 1st round. Briggs man you are really bias towards bigs. Pittsnoggle??

If the Knicks have a chance to grab Boone AND Roby and don't, I will be disappointed.

20 - Sene
29 - Roby (I don't think he will be there but Briggs doesn't even have him in the 1st, so)
acquire a 2nd round pick and draft Blalock in the 2nd round.

or

20 - Lowry
29 - Roby
acquire a 2nd round pick and draft Hollins 2nd round.

consider our past draft history... the Knicks aren't exactly known to consider what they have in place on their roster before they make other roster moves.
After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.

at 29 you take the BPA. I think at 29 Shannon is BPA

crz I have Roby going back to school. He needs another year--he may go lottery next year. Hes a nice big guard with tremendous skill BUT I think he would be wise to get another year of seasoning and conditioning. I think with pros and cons he'll go back

pittsnoggle--am I reaching here? I think he fits in with Phoenix pretty darn well almost perfect for what his skills are

I like David Noel with the 2nd pick. He's got a major league body type for the SF position. Excellent athlete. He's skilled, unselfish, comes from a top coach/program & isn't mentally retarded re: hoops IQ.

Then adjust your mock because Roby is staying in the draft. He has been interviewing agents all May and has cut his list down to 3 or 4. He isn't going back to school. Thank goodness.

To expand on the last post, I think a Lowry/Noel draft is a move (like last years draft) that helps to change the culture around here. Obviously, the primadonna culture won out last year. We all know trades, coaching changes are en route. But I want our next course to be tied to youth & character (Lee, Frye, maybe Nate, Lowry, Noel).

here's a question - do defensive minded draft choices, or role player acquistions via the MLE like reggie evans or jarred jeffries even come up as options if lb didn't coach this team? or would we be still drafting, pursuing the sizzle players?

Williams and Brown are two way athletic skill players from winning programs. I dont think we could do much better unless someone slipped. I dont think we see a big man worthy of a pick at either spot unless that talent went higher. I think Shannon Brown trumps Lowry--hes bigger stronger and more skilled+ Lowry tore his ACL before. Im not worried about how many guards we have--I like taking the BPA where we are.

???? I said take Sene with your 20th pick unless you have a problem with shotblocking.
If defense is your game, take Blalock in the 2nd round. Roby is a decent defender with alot of upside to become a better all-around player. Look I can't get Brewer, Roby is the next best thing. A legit 2 guard, no combo stuff. A legit 2 guard, put him next to a legit pg in Lowry. what more do you want?

I look at Pheonix and Detroit, really they have no role players. Everyone is a skill player, and I think thats the way the NBA is headed. The whole key is you need guys who understand the word pass, or atleast would be willing to buy into a passing system--although T Thomas doesnt have many assists--look how many passes he has thrown. I look at these two players and they both are two way players with top notch althetiscm strength length skills that come from winning programs. Im just guessing style of play, and it would seem likely we open it up some--would I like us to move up and get Patrick Obryant? or even get sene as a shotblocker--it would be nice but it appeasr unlikely--so going for the 2 way athletic skill players who are BPAs make the most sense

yeah, because Nate Robinson and David Lee and Ariza NEVER played defense and are all about sizzle. DJ, I like you, but you are letting your hatred of Isiah turn you into a broken record. Isiah drafts some pretty great two-way players. That is undeniable. Was Camby all sizzle and no defense? Was Tmac - that kid was one of the best defenders I'd ever seen when he was on Toronto before he got blinded by his own hype.

If you're saying Isiah makes bad trades, fine. But his draft record in unimpeachable and he usually gets pretty good defenders. Frye is the only questionable defender he's drafted and it really remains to be seen how Frye adjusts.
