ON NBA TV makes a good point. Cavs can't get offensive rebound!
Flip murry uses two hands to grab ball instead of on hand palm (gets ball knocked out) Cavs get ball with 12 secs left and a chance.
FUNDAMENTALS over and over again. Until you blue hearing it over and over...........Thats the kinda nudge Larry is and the kind that diva players hate!
Not knocking Flip Murrey, or Flip Saunders. By the way, what are the odds you got two "Flips" any way? Who names a kid "Flip" anyway? Or knickname for that matter?
Ok, this is why Larry is a great coach! Always teaching! Thats what I want my pro team to have. Strong fundamentals!
Even if its a role player like Snow! I'd take Snow for Marbury straight up. He takes care of the ball and is steady. We don't need a roster full of "starburys".
This is assuming that the players quit on Brown because his teachings were to tough for them. His style of stressing the fundamentals and riding the players to do it right was to hard for them. But what about the *possibility* that it wasn't him stressing the fundamentals being to tough for them and they couldn't handle it. But him putting them down to the public. And them feeling disrespected time after time?? I don't know how much of a fact it is. But it is also said that he rarley communicated with the players. *If this was the case*, then maybe if he wanted a more positive response, he should have had a more positive approach. Almost the same things Marbury gets called a diva for on this board and trashed for his lack of leadership. Instead of promoting everyone else and putting his player down. He should have showed he had his players back and showed a little more respect toward them. Earning there trust and respect to want do run through a brick wall for him. Say your an employee and your boss promotes other employees and belittles you to others and everyone is aware of it. How would you handle it? And can you expect everyone to handle it the same way? Also if he would have coached his ass off this season during the games and we won more games. Then that would have probably been able to offset some of this stuff.
Just bringing up the possibilities. You gotta look at both sides. Can't just assume the players are all at fault here. Can't assume Brown is all at fault either. None of us know the facts but Brown and the players.
Another thing about Brown and young players. The question about that isn't if Brown is cappable of developing young players. The question is as of right now is he willing. When he coached the young players before, he was younger as well. He was willing to invest that time to see it pay off in the future. But now that he is older and probably only has a few yrs left before he decides to retire. Is he willing to do that or does he want veterans so he could win now before he decides to call it quits.
