If they don't get injured at the times they did. Do we win 30 games?? Do we win over 30games??

Maybe but you can't say this team had an abnormally high # of injuries.

When I saw the title of this thread, I thought the subject was gonna be a complaint that the two didn't play the pick and pop more.

I think if Marbury did not get hurt for as many games 30 wins was a possibilty. He did miss 20+ games didnt he? And w/out him we were hopeless. Which just goes to show how much "talent" we have on the team. Outside of Marbury everyobyd is a fake.
A glimmer of hope maybe?!?

What's the difference? We didn't even have a draft pick. 30 wins, to me, is the same crap as 23.

That's what I was thinking and it would be a valid complaint.

Briggs, I understand the ups and downs of Fryes game, but I am curious to know what you think of his situation and what you think his future could hold, hopefully as a Knick.

Marbury and Frye healthy all season will give you an extra 5 wins. Good for 3rd worst team in the league. Next year it would be 10 extra wins if both returns no matter who is coaching.

i think the environment we have now is so spoiled its hard to project anything

we have malignant cancers on the team and in management --- the owner chooses not to take care of it, so it has spread. the danger is it spreads to the younger players

i would like to get rid of isiah mills brown and marbury--bring in a mangement team that has character and savvy. when your team is based on a foolish owner a used car salesman for a GM a President who is just a yes man a self-centered egotistical coach and a flawed immature basketball player is your head--these problems will stay with the team

simrud is right...when marbury went down, the team collapsed. no matter how much i dog him, he's still the best player of the team and it really does show you how the team responded without him. but i also think JUST AS BIG, was losing AD at the exact same time to the suspension then subsequent trade.

but then the mutiny happened and it went straight to hell after that.

with that said, if marbury stayed healthy, we may have pushed 30 but not much more since the mutiny was in it's building stages. if we finished 30-52, the season still would've been called a disaster and the lineups/rotations would still be an issue to alot of people.

whatever the case, they didn't stay healthy and everyone's worst inherent personalities came out.

Hey lets not forget that LB wasted the entire beginning of the season. He wasn't even trying to win games. He was Experimenting with the roster as he put it, so he could learn who to play. Hey isn't that what Preseason is for? I can't believe that people think this team couldn't win half its games if the coach didn't have an agenda and wasn't looking to prove a point to management. There is absolutely NO REASON that this team couldn't win half its games this year.

The talent on this team wasn't bad enough to warrant such an awful record. With LB actually trying to win games from the start this team would've looked entirely different. If Steph doesn't get hurt just as the team was starting to get a feel for each other, this team should've won more games. THIS team is NOT as bad as the final record makes it seem.

This team needs a few role players, a coach who cares and has the players on his side and a full year of consistency. that's the only way we'll really know what this team is capable of. WE couldn't make any judgement on this team with the crap LB pulled this year. This really isn't about Steph. If you left him alone he'd hold down his position and the team would benefit from what he does. Its the lack of solid contributions from the OTHER players on the team that have been the source of our problems. just think back to the players we've had and try to find someone who really was dependable in the last 2.5 years. What player or players besides Steph could we honestly say stepped up and helped us win games every night. KT was perhaps the closest thing and he's just a role player and not a go to guy. Just forget about STeph and focus on the other players on the team and whether they can truly step up next year. That is Curry, Jamal, Quentin etc.
